50 First dates is my favourite movie, I like it so much, it is so romantic. But I don't think is a comedy. If Lucy wake up thirty years later and find her husband died, her daughter left home, she is an old woman, will she still know what happened?

i love this film too. adam sandler and drew barrymore work so good together as they have done a couple of films together. i would hate to have short term memory like lucy and to wake up with someone that i dont know

In the film's own way it can be seen as both. It has great moments of comedy as Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore connect and disconnect with each other. It is also tragic in how each day needs to be relived to be remembered.

Sender621, Happy new Year!Your opinion is very interesting. While Adam and Drew fall in love, I feel so happy. Everyday for them is very precious. But after Lucy break up with Adam, I just feel this is not only a comedy, but also a tragic..Sound very sad, but just a topic..

I think this movie is more like a comedy because at least it has a happy ending. And some parts are funny. But on the other hand, you are right. Perhaps she should keep a diary so that one day she will know what happened when she wakes up next day. Or perhaps she will be cured one day:) There can be such a possibility, too. If you think so, then it will be a truly comedy:)
I love China

as long as the tape will be there always at her side when she wakes up, everything will be turn up, happily every after! It can't be tragic, i don't want it that way (sorry)! this is one of my favorite movie ever and i want it to end how exactly it ended.
