Facebook or Twitter Link in myLot?

Why not? A lot of websites are already using a Facebook link so that they can share it on Facebook or even Twitter. News, entertainment, games, computers, opinions, etc. Would it be feasible for the website? I think it will also be a good way of getting your friends to sign up for myLot. Not by starting a discussion and inviting them to sign up of course. I would rather share the sensible discussions I have read somewhere here in myLot or a discussion that I started and I would very much like to see their opinion as well about the discussions we post here. Eventually our friends might think about signing up right? Do you think this is a good idea? Why or why not?

That is because I do not know generally know . I do not know if it would be feasible. One of the disadvantages of course is that not everybody would like it. Which is a normal reaction when there is any change.

I can see the advantages, but I like keeping the sites separate.

I prefer it either way. With or without facebook link. What i'm not sure of, is in case they decide to put it in a link, would it be feasible? Thanks for the reply :)

I am NOT a fan of facebook or twitter or any of the social blog type things out there. I guess as a mom of teenagers I don't feel it is safe. I don't like the idea that the world is becoming less socially active in person instead of online. And I dont' like the personal things shown and said on those sites. Just NOT for me.

Why not? it's a good idea and as you say many people are already linking up with Facebook on their other networks or sites. I already do it so it would be very nice and convenient if there is a Facebook link in Mylot.I am all for it.

It seems to be the way to go now days. Link it to Facebook. I know all my friends on there and if I want them to see something or want to share it with others I use the FB link. Twitter isn't one I understand or use that much. I do think this is a good idea. Have a central place where things can be enjoyed and shared.

I don't really see the relevance of linking mylot with facebook. Facebook is very open and is the breeding ground for spammers.

I wont know about that though. All i know is, mylot might not do that because mylot is a unique forum, unlike others out there. Mylot has its secrets and by linking itself to facebook, it's in a risk of exposing itself. WHo knows the owner of facebook might betray mylot, like what he did to his friends?? lol =D SO it's safer to distance itself from facebook.. haha

we can always share a link to our posts on facebook. i have been using the link sharing on fb. but with the other way around, i don't think it is advisable.

I appreciate your idea but I prefer to keep the two sites separate from each other. I am not a fan of Facebook so the thought doesn’t appeal to me all that much. What worries me about a MyLot link there would be that it probably would attract too many people and many may just be after a place to spam.
