Today i was listening to an ad by BIG B [amitabh bachchan] on fm radio... and just a thought struck my mind ...... he was advertising for gujarat tourism . he was advertising the place kutch [a place in india] for my foreign frenz who dont know, people in india know it very well.. he was comparing the place to the moon he was saying "watz there on moon, kutch is more beautiful than moon when u see it in moonlit night...."
so my frenz a simple question...... if u r given an option to go on moon or some VERY beautiful place on earth where would you like to go???? we all know that moon is a different place from earth but there is nothing on the moon while the another place has all the beauties of earth... whats your decision between the two.....
all the expenses are paid by me so no tension decide freely

Hi eshaan,
That is a very true thing and after many days I hear an advert saying the truth (as we read about the moon).
I had been to the Indian Desert at Rajasthan and stayed there for 42 days (though the stay at the desert was just 10 days) - a complete unit of 46 people - all my cousins from across the country - and they were the best days in our lives. It was April end May and June - during our summer vacations in 1993.
The stay was pleasant and so was the locales and the nights were quite beautiful but short.
Going to the moon is something I would want to... Actually I know it wont be possible in my lifetime so I have a plan (I mentioned this on many other discussions too) - I would plan to send my remains after I die and am cremated... It depends on my next generation.. how they handle the thing... But if I could I would have this done.
Cheers,
theSids.

I always wanted to learn astronomy and make my career at NASA or anywhere I could stand a chance to go to space. Unfortunately nothing of this kind happened. So it remains an unfulfilled wish. Recently they even started doing the private sponsoring and sending private people into space... but at unaffordable costs... So I think my dream would remain a dream. So just a thought.
On the lighter side -
Someone recently told me - Those whose wishes do not go fulfilled turns into ghosts or spirits (I know there is nothing of this logic) but I would be happy to turn into one for sometime and that is another way I can try to find out spending some time in the space up above

Hi Eshaan, long time no news from me . Of course go to India by flight it is still fine with me whereas go to the Moon I'll definitely fail the G-force test, I think so. Have you thinking of buying a land on Mars? I think there should be a great place to live and start a whole new life.

I am curious on how it would be like to visit the moon, but watching the process (riding a space shuttle, air sick, space gear), I may not want to go. If I can visit any place on the earth... I'd like to visit the Patagonias or many be even Antarctica... but I don't want it to be so cold either.

HI eshaan, there is a lot of nice places here on earth, so i would choose going around the world given the resources and the opportunity. I am sure the earth is more beautiful than the moon. Of course some will choose the trip to the moon because of the experience but i would not take the risk.

hi eshaan all expenses paid O Kay for me the most b eautifuol place right now is only three miles from here, I am in orange county ' California and my go to place is Newport beach down on the'beach by Charlies Chili. its a small cafe with the best chili in the world and also the best clam chowder made with fresh caught clams. it is famous all over the world known by tourists who come back here year after year just to see the worlds nicest beach and eat Charlies Chili.Listen to the pacific ocean and relax. let your cares melt a way. I struggle with my quad can and my braced leg but I love to walk along the edge and hear the roar of the ocean and watch it roll in, lap at the shore then
recede again. soothing to my soul.

Hi,
I have heard of the place Kutch but never been there. I am from Andhra Pradesh South India. I love to visit the place Kutch some day. Going to moon is dream of today's common man. Or I should say he would never dream to visiting Moon like we visit any other place or city on the earth.
But for our next generations I think this would be a reality undoubtedly. As we are advancing toward technology soon the human may also make moon as a living place.
Technology might take us to very highs or drop us somewhere in deep troubles.
Hope nature also cooperates with our inventions and discoveries.
Happy Living

eshaan, even though there is a free trip to moon sponsored here by my generous friend here, I still prefer to visit scenic sites available in our planet. I feel so enjoyable and content whenever I go on vacation together with my loved ones in any local tourist sites here. The natural landscapes here are so familiar and fascinating to me. There are thousands of varieties yummy foods served here which all of them suit my appetite well.
Oh gosh, why having the trouble to visit the distant planet the moon with only dull environment. It's really uncomfortable and a burden as well to put on the heavy and inconvenient oxygen tank as well as the heavy and bulky space suit. It's a high risk to travel to moon as well. might be I would like to visit the moon if it has become a planet like our earth which is suitable for human to live there.
Have a nice day

I am not keen on the moon; it doesn’t look very exciting up there! I would rather go to a Hawaiian beach or something along those lines. There are so many places I would like to go to. I could do a list and it wouldn’t be a short one! Somewhere tropical and warm would be good...

Maybe I'll pick the moon. But not because of the destination, but for the adventure of getting there. I know that to capable of space flight, you'd have to undergo some rigorous training. That would sound very appealing!
And then just go to the moon, experience weighlessnes (or one-sixth of gravity), and make my mark (footstep) on the sand.

YES, I would LOVE to go to the moon and just look at how beautiful Earth is from far away.. And then think just how wonderful it is to live there. Most of the time we don't appreciate things we have if we don't see it from a different view (this time literally!)
