I DID IT!!
I got an article purchased on Market Place!!
I have to say a BIG thank you to all of you who encouraged me to carry on trying, I am SO chuffed!!
My article was about the 50th Anniveersary of Coronation Street, so it reallly wrote itself because I just LOVE that ptogramme!!!
I hope that all of you others who have been trying have the same success - I have another 'in progress' so just waiting to see what happens with that, but at least I managed one!
How many of you are still trying to perervere with the Market Place?
I do hope you will as it certainly does seem worth it now.
Do keep us informed as to how you got on.
How do you choose the ort of articles that you write?

Hello, Mandy, and well done. My article on the same topic transitioned, and of the last batch I wrote, they've all either been purchased or transitioned for credit. And we're a day ahead of the deadline as well, so the system is obviously working as it should.
It's such a boost when you finally get the breakthrough, isn't it? Now all we need are a few more $5 articles and we'll be earning as much as before. I'm not going to say 'I told you so,' but I did, didn't I?

Articles that get purchased get the full amount shown on Market Place, the other articles chosen to transition get a lower amount. Only one article is given the full amount all other articles chosen get the transition fee. Hope this clears some of it up for you.

Just another thing - I'm new to this MArket Place thing - what is the difference between purchased and transitioned?

Congratulations Mandy! I am so happy for you and your success will inspire many members of Helium to persevere there - myself included.
The articles I choose to write about have to be about something that interests me, or that I know enough about to put it down on paper!

Wow, that's great. You outshine many of us.
Most of us do not have such achievements despite writing for Helium a long time. I give up on Marketplace long ago.
That was the time when the writing score and writing stars still count. I participated in Marketplace, and saw the writing score going down, so I gave up. I did not have the courage to try again.

I had my first article rejected but I was encouraged by other members to carry on and I'm so glad that I did now!

WELL DONE YOU!!!
I am so pleased or you.
I choose articles to write that I think sound interesting and that I know something about - mainly cooking, travel, books and films - so not that many that are in the Market Place really!!
Do keep up the good work, you've done so well!

Thank you very much, I'm thinking that there are going to be a lot wider range of article now to choose from on the MArket Place now that it is getting more established.
Good luck!
