Hi, I have graduated in Master's degree in Law last year so and I have experienced the same problem with concentration.
For me the best way was to go in a quiet place dedicated to studies, such as a library. I used to go in another College library so I wasn't disturbed by classmates.
For me it is not a good idea to study at home because there are so many distractions (family, friends, partner, music, TV, internet, snacks...)
It is a good idea to set a time to study and a time to relax and to have a break regularly.
If you are not too late it is good to relax and do whatever you like for half a day, so you will be fully focused during your "study-time".
If you have difficulty to concentrate on your syllabus here are some tips:
- It is important to plan your work: how many days left, so how many pages per day should you read and how may times. In that way it makes it concrete and it gives you some self-satisfaction when your reach the target at the end of the day
- make some short synthesis on a piece of paper, writing the subdivisions and the main ideas
- use your finger to follow the lines, you will be amazed about how fast you can read like that.
- Choose the right time for you, some people prefer the morning, some prefer studying in the evening
- Only use your phone during your breaks, cut it when your are studying.
Good luck for your exams.

I know how you feel. I've experienced this too so I know how it feels to be demotivated and uninterested. First of all, free yourself from all distractions like the computer, bed and the TV. Especially for the computer, if you find it a total distraction, leave it somewhere or you avoid looking at it for that period of time when you are having your exams. For me, I make my computer talk to me as in, I write a piece of note which says: 'you can only play with me after your common test/exam'. That really helps a lot! If you don't mind, you can listen to some baroque or classical music, which will boost your concentration by a lot. As for me, I listen to smooth jazz, which is more suitable for me. Well, the after word is, do what's best for yourself and decide which is the best alternative to ensure everything is smooth-sailing for you. These are just my tips that I want to share with you but after that, it's all up to yourself already I wish you good luck for your exams!
