"If you sit on my lap today, A kiss a toy is the price you'll pay When you tell what you wish for --In a whisper Be prepared to pay." It sounds pretty creepy when it's sung anywhere other than a Christmas special. ;~D

I never heard that one and, as a professional Santa, yes, I'd say that, these days, it sounds creepy. Fifty years ago, nobody would have thought anything of it. What has changed? Not 'Santas', certainly. I would say that it's people's own dirty minds.

it's ironic, when I watch the show, it is all innocent, but when I was singing it while washing dishes, it just sounded creepy. lol

Hi, ParaTed2k. Amazingly scary! If this is actually recited into a Christmas special, then it will sound very creepy. I don't think that I would want to sit upon Santa's lap while he would say something like this. Or even if this is sung by someone else.

Yeah years ago no one had the mind frame to twist things but now even looking at someone can be harassment. humbug.
