Atheist are not believing in God--
I know most of atheist people are scientists
because science can explain things without
having such a miracle or some sort of that..
And I personally know that their not wishing for
believer or even drag a people they know to
join there atheism..
(They are not believing in someone
their depending on science and Science is
natural.)
If Atheist pray? estimation--
.5 out of 10% atheist is praying
due to other love ones that is not
atheist.. ^_^

I'm an agnostic. But yes, sometimes. In emergancys we seek comfort or a way out by any means possible. It's human nature to look for any reason (I mean ANY) and any answer to solve a problem, the bigger the issue the more they will resort to. Phsycologically speaking God is like a parent and we are like children. When a baby cried he/she expects there parents to come to the rescue. In no way am I saying it is childish to pray or seek help from God. It sometimes just comes down to "pray or prey." There are no Athiests on an Algebra exam!

I believe even an atheist have their own way to pray too because they can hope and have a desire to live as well. To me, every hope is a prayer, we all pray for our hope, does not matter how we pray about it. Some people pray and give the best effort to achieve their hope and some just pray and hope that something will change straight away without them having to use any of their energy. I come from a family who have different belief and faith and I'm an atheist. Religion is only one little thing that make us different to other people, but how we believe it and our personality and attitude differ us the best from other people. We never can tell when someone is praying to their God no matter what they believe in. We should not judge someone whether he or she ever pray or not according to what their religion is, because as I said every hope is a form of prayer too. Have a nice day

Atheists don't pray to or for anything. If you think there's someone or something that can answer prayers, then you're not an atheist. I've been an atheist all my life. I've been in emergency situations, and watched my husband dying, and I never once prayed or felt any need to pray. Problems either work out or they don't and appealing to some invisible person or object isn't going to change anything.

An atheist would pray to a god or any supernatural creature. As they wouldn't be atheist if they did. I am Buddhist so I sometimes will start chanting when I am getting stressed out or something like that haven't been in a emergency situation yet so haven't had to chant during one of those.
