I think a debit card is better since you can't end up being in debt.

In my first impression, I can use my Debit Card up to the balance I have in my account. If the money in my debit card which I deposited earlier insufficient to cover my new transaction, it will automatically deny it.
After vetting the terms and conditions of the Debit Card in my local bank, it is totally not right.
I shall be charged or fined if I over use my Debit Card balance.
Similarly to Credit Card, if I charge the card over the credit limit, I shall be fined too.
In my impression, I must deposit the certain amount of money in my Debit Card account before I can do any transaction with my Debit Card.
For the Credit Card, I can do the transaction with my Credit Card as long as the accumulative transaction is not over my credit limit.
In my country, I am granted 20 days interest free period to repay my outstanding balance.
For your information, Debit Card is mostly for those who failed to apply for the Credit Card.
There are many reasons for their Credit Cards application disapproval.
For instance, bad credit reference, insufficient personal annual income to comply the requirement, too old and so on.
Obviously, you can differentiate the advantages of Debit Card and the Credit Card.

Debit cards essentially mean spending money that you have in your account, whereas credit cards are typically spending money that you don't have (unless you make sure to pay off your balance in full each month). There's a huge difference. I would much rather spend the money that I have in my account that put myself into debt.

Use the credit card. Let me tell you why. You can get credit cards that pay you cash back for every purchase. You can make at least 1 percent on everything you buy. Be sure to pay off the balance every month so you will not have interest charges. I would never use a debit card. Your money could be drawing interest in a bank while you are waiting the 1 month for the credit card people to bill you. Credit cards can be an all win thing when you do them right.

I have a debit card (my payroll haha). I do not have a credit card but when I look at my aunt and other grown ups around I feel that I m lucky that I still don't have one. But we should just have a clear mindset in using a credit card. It can be beneficial but it can also destroy you if you are not careful.

A debit card takes money from your bank account right away. A credit means that you buy things on credit. I only have a debit card. I only wish that i could get a credit card.

I have a debit card and two credit cards. I only use the credit card when buying online for certain things then pay it off right away. As for debit I think I like it better because it comes right out of the checking account right away and there is no waiting for a bill or a charge to go through. I find it just alot easier to use a debit card. Plus if you use a credit card and don't pay the whole thing off within the month you are charged finance charges and end up paying more for the stuff you brought.

Credit cards, as the name suggests, is a form of credit wherein you loan a certain amount of cash through a bank which you can use for major purchases. You can pay the purchases later on. A debit card, on the other hand, is all tied up with your savings account so when you make purchases, you can use your debit card but it is actually deducted from your savings. You do not have to pay for it later on unlike a credit card. The ATM card you have been issued for payroll is a debit card. If you do not have enough money left in your account, you will not be able to use it for purchases.
Hope this helps. Good luck!

I prefer to use my debit card most of the time. I rarely use credit card, I use it when it is required only like when it is an emergency or unplanned expense then I use credit card.
I try to use my available funds to keep my finances in order and under my control. I don't use credit card because I have it. I have seen many of my friends who got ruined with credit card bills. I keep it as a safety for me always.
Spend wisely with your credit card and remember it is a credit and you have to repay it again.

I personally think a debit card is better just because you only have a certain amount on it. This way, you won't be using too much money and end up in debt which happens a lot to credit card users.
