A man and his female companion were arrested in a Wallmart parking lot in California, while trying to sell their 8 month old baby girl for $25. The baby is now in the care of the state, waiting for someone to adopt her.
It sickens me to think of her future. Will it be one foster home after another? Will she grow up healthy? Will she ever get love of parents?
Join me in saying a little prayer for this child and many others.

So very sad that someone would try to sell their child. I agree about being sick thinking about her future, but it apparently would not have been good if she had remained with the people who tried to sell her. I try to think about what she might get as a benefit from this, perhaps she will be adopted by a warm and loving family? one can only hope. :)
I will join you in praying for this baby girl and all of the children in the world needing a home and love.

Hi there...
Thanks for your consciousness but it's a great true that this type of incidents are too common now a days. Just days ago, a newly born baby were seen just near the street. After rescuing this baby was given to a childless couple. Again, selling a baby due to poverty is also common. The medias are highlighting it almost weekly basis. have a nice day.

They dared and lost their freedom to prison life. That is a waste of the girls future and both of theirs as well.

That is down right sick. It is so sad to hear of the evil and horror in this world. A poor little baby sold like meat. I hope the two who did this(I won't call them parents for obvious reasons) were charged to the full extent of the law. And I also hope this poor little girl has every change available.

thank you, Dear! And I met 'chance' not 'change'. Losing what few facilities I had.

I just pray to god that the child's get's the best parent's ever and she grows up in the best way possible. I simply can't understand how can the parents do such a thing to their own daughter. What a shame to the name of Parent's. How could do this to their symbol of Love. If they did not want the baby they should have simply aborted it.
It' really shocking. Unluckily the child got terrible Parents but I hope that now she get's the Best.
God Bless the Child and the Devil bless the Parent's.

I find this completely disgusting, the parents to this baby seriously have some issues. How could they do something as bad as this. No matter what the baby is far better of elsewhere rather than being with parents like them, what they did is so wrong on many levels and they do not deserve to ever have children. I don't know how things work in your country, here we have foster homes that kids can go to either short term or long term, that is only really for the possibility of the child or children eventually going back home to their parents or to a blood relative. Or we then have the adoption in which they go to a home and stay there until later in life when they turn 18 they are told the truth as to the facyt that the people who have brought them up aren't really there real paents. I guess it is easier for a baby to be adopted as they know no better and have not really bonded with the true parents, fostering in early life gives no stability and they can be moved around often. I hope that this baby gets adopted out so that the baby has one home and is not moved around often and can lead a normal life.

Whatever their issues, the baby's life has been compromised. That is the sad part. We can only hope and pray for her.

I agree fully with you, such a sad time for this baby really, luckily the baby is way too young to understand what has gone on. The parents really do have some serious issues that need addressing.

I would pray to God let the adults not make such type of mistake by which babies does not have to suffer. What is the mistake of babies in this. Oh god, please give adults a bit of sense before doing any undue things as such and give a birth and then sell like this.

My prayers definitely go out for this little girl. I think that though the story is a sad one that she really is a lucky girl because she is going to have the opportunity to grow up in a family where she is loved and will probably have a much better rest of her life because of the fact that she only had to live in what was most likely a terrible situation for the first few months of her life. I hope everything turns out well for her.

I have read the article and I feel really sorry for the baby too. For $25, even a child molester would able to buy the baby too, and the baby's life could be even worst than that in the future. I really too hope that the child will find her home and have a good life when she grows up. The parents must be so desperate over something that they were willing to do this sickening thing. But for me, if I have the child for many months, be it my own baby or not, I could never be able to let him or her go. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day

Hope no child goes through what this little girl has, never, ever. Parenthood is about care and it is time we do that.

I do not get these kind of parents too. That is why I do not believe in the cliche that " no parents can ever hurt their kids" that is one big bull.. how irresponsible these people are. This kind of parents should not be blessed with kids as they are not responsible to be parents. There are lots of couples out there that could not have kids but are able to be parents. tsk tsk! shame to those people.

i cant really imagine this people can sell their baby for only 25$,
here in my country i was hear like this cases too but their reason was only poverty they don't think what are consequence after that? i mean the children will grow with a very bad experience in their life since baby, this is very pitiful situation. In my family we are only few members but we really love each other no matter what, even dogs, cat, bird, koi whatever as long as it has a LIFE we treasure it as HUMAN that they have a right to live. And its hard for us when we sell some of them, how come there's a people can sell a HUMAN and this is their own flesh and blood.

Hiya WBE,
How sad for the little Girl and also for the Parents when they eventually realize what they have done.
They do need help but in the meantime would their little Girl be safe with them?
On New Year´s Day there were no end of Baby Boys left in the Doors of Hospitals here I would have given my right arm to have been able to have another Child.
While it seems so unfair for this to happen I can only hope that those Children find a good loving Home and are given "fairly" in adoption.
There are many many Couples that are a bit older and they are rejected all the time. I don´t see that as being fair they could easily take a Child that has been left on a Doorstep in and they also have experience because of having looked after their own Children too.

I can't under stand why someone would do that to their child. I know that people need money right now but that is not one whay to get it. I know for a fact that you can put a baby up for adoption for free. There are lots of couples out there able to take of any baby that you may not want. BuT SELLING a child for money is wrong, not only is it worng it is morally wrong. I hope that they were arrested to the fulliest extent of the law.

They are in the pen alright! The male has been roughed up by his prison mates. I pray that they be restrained from approaching or claiming the girl after doing their time.
