ive got a lot of response from people asking me to write (in the hundreds) articles on subjects of their choice for their websites.
do you think this is a good idea? or just a waste of time?
would it be easier to write on mylot?

The payment is pretty low, but I think it might still be worth it, especially if you can get more work afterwards. I used to write cheap articles for one of my big clients in the beginning and since he was so happy with my work, I started getting more and more work from him. Eventually I raised the prices, and now I get paid really well for any article I write for him, but he would probably never have hired me if my prices were that hight to begin with.
I started writing for this guy for $1 per 100 words, and so far, I have made close to $6000 from him alone (he has been a client for over a year, so it took some time, but still). So in my case, starting out with a lower price has definitely been worth it. But you need to decide if it is worth it for you! I would say, consider it based on the fact how likely it is that you will get more work from this person, and if you will be able to raise your rates after a while. You cannot keep writing these articles for that cheap forever, but it can be a great way to get started with a client.

Could you please tell me who you work with and if they are looking for any more writers?

$1 per 300 words isn't very high. Most sites (that I've heard of) pay about $1 per 100 words, so you'd get $3 for the 300 words. This may be low on some sites as well.

$1 is pretty cheap for a 300 word article of any quality. Just look at the tasks here and you will see that SharonBucks is offering $2.50 for excellent quality 300+ word articles.

Hi Kahmed, the market rate is one cent per word.
I think you can negotiate for at least $1.50 per 300 words article. Once you have more acceptance than rejection, you can ask for gradual increment until the market rate.
It depends on what you like. If you can write articles from start to finish very easily, then I think you should consider writing articles.
If you like to join in discussions, and share your thoughts, then mylot is better. Article writing is quite tough compared to Mylot.
However, in term of money, article writing offers more opportunities.
