The Royal Rumble is one of my favorite events of the year, as it has a lot of drama and a few surprises. I'm going to say that Triple H pulls a John Cena/Edge and wins the Royal Rumble this year returning. Somehow Sheamus is going to have the title before Wrestlemania 27 and that's going to be our main event. Much like Bobby "The Brain" Heenan did back in the day, I reserve the right to change my pick as I see fit and claim that I called it all along even though I was completely wrong. :) Still I really think that Triple H seems to be the favorite for the Rumble this year.

I want John Cena to win it because in the past few weaks he has been having a bad time here so i think as he has to prove himself to his fans he will try taking it.

John Cena is a strong possibility. And if Miz keeps the title until Mania somehow, Cena/Miz would be an interesting main event because there is some history. I think after Triple H, I think that he is the second most likely person to win. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

With the corre and nexus in the royal rumble cena will probably end up being eliminated. Unless he will be the superman again and end up eliminating two big groups at the royal rumble. I think a storyline will revolve around the corre, nexus, and cena. Therefore it is not yet his time for the gold. I really that a new and young guy would get the chance to win the royal rumble. I am starting to love seeing new wrestlers every week.

do we have a list of complete participants in the rumble this year? i checked wwe.com and it doesn't have a list yet. i remember, a couple years ago, wwe had a list and it had a couple of surprise unnamed entrants. one of those entrants ended up being edge. so i'm reserving my pick until i see the list. good theory about triple h coming in to win the royal rumble this year. i think its been too long to keep such a talent in the shelf, talking about triple h. next to cena, i think he is one of the more popular ones regardless if he takes the hero or heel route. like i said, i'm reserving my pick but i would like to see an off the center winner for this year... someone who is more of a mid-card wrestler who is ready for the big push this year.

I could not agree more mate. Today is the era of the youngsters. We cannot always rely on taker, edge, cena, HHH and the others. We must now rely on the midcarders who have potential. They deserve it. I would love to see them get a big push and face the veterans in the future. This would be very exciting. Thanks mate.

saw the list and as much as i think it'll be either wade barrett or alberto del rio, i think the winner of the royal rumble 2011 is ted dibiase jr. i've commented in another thread that i'm not a big fan of ted jr so this is not a personal pick mind you. i just think that with the other superstars (john cena, del rio, barrett, punk, big show, and others), the wwe creative can maek a storyline with them not being the royal rumble winners. cena will always be cena. del rio can have his feud with mysterio or edge. barrett has corre, punk has the new nexxus and big show has an ongoing feud with corre. the others are really just blips in the wwe radar and have nothing much to offer. lol! i was kidding! i mean ted jr has been underutilized the past few months except for his stint as the pro in wwe nxt and even in that show, he's not getting the buildup he deserves. here is what and how it will go down for ted jr to win this. ted gets to pick the number 1 slot in the rumble. he uses his money to change slots and gets the number 40 place by bribing zack ryder not just with money but with maryse as well. maryse wants no part of it and storms out of the scene. fast forward to the last part of the rumble. barrett, cena, punk and mason ryan are the remaining wrestlers and in comes ted dibiase as the last entrant to the rumble. he bid his time getting in the ring. in the ring punk and barrett team up against cena and mason ryan. there is so much jawing between the four combatants. barrett hits the waste land on ryan and eliminates him. cena has punk in trouble but barrett makes the surprise save. the two leaders of corre and nexxus respectively continue to beat down on cena. ted jr stays outside the ring and this is noticed by punk. punk motions over to barrett and both pay attention to ted jr. this short distraction gives the opening that cena needs to eliminate both cm punk and wade barrett. the crowd in boston goes wild!!! cena stand in the middle of the ring in triumph however members from both the corre and nexxus storm the ring and give a hellacious beating to cena. justin gabriel hits the 450 splash. ezekiel jackson hits the powerbomb on cena. wade barret delivers a wasteland and cm punk delivers the gts. ted jr comes in the ring and members from both groups give way. ted jr clotheslines cena out of the ring and is declared the royal rumble winner. the fortunate son did not only buy hsi way to the number 40 slot but also had in his pockets members of corre and nexxus to assure his victory in the royal rumble!!!

I really think that they should have started building new people about 2008 or 2009. Certain people were slightly past the point of being a bit stale and getting a bit run down. I don't want to say its WCW in 2000 levels, but its starting to become a problem. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Wow! Good question! I really like your Triple H theory! It could also be 1) Some been there done that bought the t-shirt rival of the brothers of darkness kane and the undertaker AGAIN, or 2) It could be some kind of match with John Cena, Randy Ortin, Sheamus, and the Miz. That would be an awesome match for Triple H to crash and give Sheamus his just desserts like he did to Triple H! Hopefully 1 of my 2 theories is correct!

Some interesting theories. Based on recent events on WWE tv, I have had a few more theories that could potentially happen. John Cena wins the Royal Rumble(if he can come back from the injury that he had recently that is), and CM Punk wins the belt at Elimination Chamber, leading to Punk/Cena at Mania. Or Jerry Lawler wins the Royal Rumble, leading to one last shot against the Miz at Mania. Just two more things that could happen. Sheamus and Triple H is going to happen I think in some form or fashion. Still sticking with Triple H as my official pick but there is Elimination Chamber to factor in as well and going by the last two years, both belts did change hands afterall.

I think they will give chance to those stars who are currently being built up not cena, triple H or any one who is so famous. My bet would be john morrison or alberto del rio. These two stars are getting pushed in the recent weeks. It is not a bad move. It is called giving a chance to those who deserve it. Many would want cena to win the rumble but i guess it is too predictable. He can get a title shot anytime. he does not need it. Give it to others like Johm morrison or alberto del rio. Just like what jeff hardy experienced when he became a champion.

Recently on RAW, they have been hammering home the fact about Del Rio saying that its his destiny to win the Rumble pretty hard. He could be a possibility. Then again, with forty guys this year, it is going to be crazier then ever. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.
