What is it about dimples? What makes them "cute"?

Dimples are very cute. It is my dream to have dimples. It looks very cute on a girl as well as on a boy, but it is cuter on a girl. Sometimes a dimple makes a boy look girlish. My friend's husband tried to make a dimple by rubbing and making marks in one particular part of his cheek. There are guys who find girls with dimples very attractive.

Hi damned_dle, to me a toddler with dimples in its chubby appearance look so cute to me. It is especially adorable when smiling or laughing. Having dimple or dimples is unique and fascinating but not imperfect. It's said that there are people doing facial plastic surgery just to have dimples in their cheeks Happy posting

What an awesome question. I have no idea why they are cute, but somehow, someway, they are totally cute! I really can't explain it! lol but its the way it seems to have always been!

if you notice closely, every person who has a dimple has a very cute and charming smile!i think, the dimple makes your face attractive cause of the big wide depression next to your lips! i hope i don't sound insane! lol! :)

LOL i have dimples and am proud to have them yes them cause i just dont have one but 2 on the other cheek and 1 at the other i guess. my aunts love it. yeah plus factor for cuteness too! my friends whenever they want to annoy me would say am abnormal but then idk hahah cause i find them looking ways and asking for bello et.al. how to have one :D

yes dimples might be deemed as a facial imperfection but it somehow makes a smile much nicer or adorable if not perfect. they look so cute because they often become visible when the face is smiling or laughing... thus adding a notch up to the smile or the laugh. the wider the smile, the more pronounced the dimples become, and the happier the face looks. that to me makes it cute.

My psychology teacher says it's the most beautiful abnormality of the face. It is abnormal though it is also beautiful. I don't take really long looking at the mirror, but sometimes when I capture some pictures of myself I find dimples, or maybe I'm assuming. It looks great. Everyone with dimples looks really great, I mean cute. It's just a bonus God gave us :)
