My thoughts on surveys.

I personally think Surveys as an option for earning is a great opportunity for some, but it's dependent on a few things. By nature of surveys who you are as a person really determines if the surveys to earn money is right for you. Can not stress that enough. The sites and surveys what to know info about you, your activities and thoughts. Your current location, gender, age and income are just some of general things that will determine if you qualify to take a particular survey. No one can tell you one site is really better for you in this field, some may offer a higher pay rate for some surveys, but then less people get to do them. How to be earning money by doing surveys from home comes down to three things. 1. Diversity in the start and sticking with the sites where you regularly experience good earnings. 2. Consistency in how often you do them. A regular amount of time, a certain number of surveys, goal amount of earnings. Have something to keep the "end" in sight. 3. Persistence. Trying to do every survey on every site will become overwhelming and a few days in a row will burn you out really quick. But attempting just a few on a site and then giving up entirely gets you nothing. Have the drive to find to find a good flow of earnings for yourself and then stick with it. So what do you think about making money with surveys?

I will say this about surveys. They can get you some decent money if you stumble upon the right ones. However, if there was anything that was less about skill and more about proper timing in the money making field, it would be taking surveys. I have made a few dollars here and there, which does add up. Checking every day for new opportunities. A couple surveys a day is about I can tolerate, as they can be time consuming, not to mention tedious.

Tedious is a good word to describe them, part of the reason I think to be successful you need to have a "end" goal in sight each time you prepare to do surveys. Just doing them til you get bored or fed up is an easy way to not feel like doing them for a long time. But it keep it reasonable and you can get better results.

I can never find any surveys that pay enough to make it worthwhile. Better then surveys are completing free offers. Usually the site gets paid 50% and you get the other 50% there's a lot of offers out there that pay $1-$5 for just entering your information. However you won't ever get RICH taking online surveys, it's simply impossible with the amount of time. However the companies that pay you to take them and keep half have hundreds of thousands of people completing these surveys and pennies add up fast for them, unfortunately they have the leverage and you have none.

I've never had success with these sites. The high-paying ones all seem to want me to complete an "offer" (spend money) before they will pay me, and the ones that aren't scams like that pay so little that it really isn't worth my time. Some of you are saying you are having success -- perhaps I'll check out your profiles to see what you're doing right!

This is what I hate about the genre of surveys, a big pet peeve of mine. There are true survey sites where you are asked to give your opinion on a product or service and may be rewarded for doing such; and there are fake survey sites, CPA sites disguised as surveys on a particular product. The thing is, as a consumer you can make money from these such sites, but when they are disguised as surveys, be sure they have set your reward to be the lowest payout possible. Overall, my advice is if you are truly looking to make some spare time money with surveys, sign up to reputable sites that are looking for your opinion, not a sale. If you would like to make money by signing up for trials of products and services, look into offer trading forums; these will lead you to reputable sites that are upfront with their procedures, and will have more reasonable payouts than the "surveys" that you have encountered.

Forget taking surveys. Most of them are bogus and pay chump change or not at all. Many just promise to enter you into some fake $50,000 sweepstakes or something. I may take one from time to time if I'm extremely bored. But I've found that to make the real money from survey sites is by referring the programs to others who want to join. Referral income is where it's at and it doesn't matter where you're located in the world. Even if you're in a country where you can never qualify for surveys -- you can still make a nice amount of income referring people in qualified countries to these programs.

True, referrals in themselves can be an excellent source of income. I play a game with a referral list in the 100's and they do a large portion of my total earnings. Always just got to make to give people the info they really need about a site before they join to make sure you are getting active referrals.

I use several sites and agree with your points. I am very successful with the few that I am on and find them very engaging. Key with me is that you have to update your profile every once in a while as the likes, interest and what you own changes every few months. This I have found to be very effective for me.

Good point, updating profile info can be a easy way to qualify for more surveys and spend less time answering the same basic questions. Glad to hear you've found the one's that work for you, it's a nice way to earn some extra money on a regular basis.

Hi there! Making money is survey is one of the great choices we have. It is simple and takes like 15 minutes to complete it. However, depending on country and location, it might be a little too 'harsh' and unfair for us :) Simple example will be me from Malaysia. I have joined various sites for surveys and each week, it would be lucky if I can receive one survey to complete. Imagine it is 7 days and one survey. This week as lucky as I had two and that was great. So, depending on your luck and location, it could be great money for you. Just my thought on surveys.

I think surveys are nice. They pay you while you express your thoughts about something. You earn for just answering questions that help improve products and performances. So making money with surveys is very good.

There is something satisfying about doing a Survey on a product and then seeing the product change for the better, partly because of what you said. Part of why I like doing surveys on Movies before they come out. Fun to get a sneak peak and tell them that X part was horrible.

I find that I do not qualify for surveys, generally. For one thing, I am from the bland central part of my country. I am unemployed. I am somewhat older than they want, and a few dozen other things. I feel much more satisfied with places like MyLot where I know I will be accepted, at least 98 % of the time. I agree, that some survey companies pay some people well. They just are not for me.

This lesson took me a long time to learn, but the best lesson I learned about surveys is that they are fine for making extra money here and there, but you cannot expect to make any consistent money with surveys. The experience varies for everyone because each survey is looking for a different demographic, and there is no possible way to make an income that you can count on month after month from surveys based on this fact alone. You cannot expect to qualify for every survey available, and since they want honest opinions, you don't know what those qualifications are.

I find it hard to make money with surveys. Maybe because there are only a few surveys and lots of people all clamoring to answer one, which pays about a dollar. I find it much better to spend my time here on mylot :)

I would also love to make extra money by doing survey but if you came from my country then you will not get much opportunity and surveys to answer. So that is the real fact, I don't get many chances. I try to stick with the one that is accepting my country but they also don't always have many survey to be done. It is just like once or a couple of month or sometimes none at all for me. Good luck and have a nice day

Hello I have only found 1 site that i qualify for and that pays about $6.00 a week. The problem is that they are time consuming and repetative. I enjoy reviewing TV commercials but otherwise I don't generally bother
