Do you think Jesus went to Hell for our sins?

The bible states that he fought with the devil and those who are sinners who can't make sacrifices and shed blood for God would be banished to hell. Christ supposedly took on all sin, which would sentence him to death below. If Christ suffered for us he probably went all the way with it so no one else would have to. Sorry if I offended anyone.

It is entirely possible that Christ went to Hell for our sins since it was sin that sentenced a person to hell and Christ took our sins upon Himself.
The Belief that Jesus went to Hell came from the Apostles' Creed as Owlwings stated but there are a few scriptures that imply it as well and I would have to look and find them
Also if I remember right there is a prophecy of Jesus going to hell to fight Satan in one of the Apocrypha books of the Douay-Rheims Bible.
As for belief, I believe it is entirely possible as that would be a great sentiment of Jesus defeating Satan on his own turf, lol.
Thank you for the thought provoking discussion and have a wonderful day!

I can't think of much else that would cause so much pain, that it would cause someone to bleed from every pore. Part of the reason he is our Saviour, and that we can be resurrected come Judgement day, is that he returned from that.
Sincerely and With Appreciation.
