If a discussion or a post is deleted, you earn nothing for it. If it was posted more than a day or so ago and had already been shown in your earnings figure, then you will see the deduction. If it was deleted before it showed up in your earnings, then you won't see a change. Either way, it's a waste of your time and of other people's if a discussion (and all of the responses) are deleted because you failed to pay attention to the Guidelines. If you responded to a discussion that was deleted (through no fault of your own), then that is hard luck and, I'm afraid, just the way it is. The only solution is to get to know the rules and to try to avoid discussions which will very likely be deleted.

My post was not deleted it was somebody ( I forgot her user name ) here on mylot commented on my post and her comment was deleted for a plagiarism reason. But thanks for sharing a clear explanation about it.!

Yes it is unfortunate but the earnings do get deducted. So if the other member plagiarized her response then you commented back to her the entire comment box gets removed. Sorry it happened but I have seen it to others before. There really is no way for us to know if the member is plagiarizing as we cannot possibly check every ones comments before we respond.

Yes you are right, we really don't know if some people plagiarise..maybe they think if they have good response we will rate them best response.. It's good I didn't reply to her response to my post so it's only her response was deleted. people should learn that doing bad things will put them into trouble, right?

Plagiarism is for wherever there is writing. If you copy something from someone else and claim it is yours, then it's plagiarism. It applies to books, articles, and your term paper. At college we get reminded every quarter that plagiarism is a crime that we could be expelled for. (I roll my eyes because I'm sick and tired of hearing it, not because I think plagiarism isn't serious. Quite the opposite. It's just darn annoying to keep getting notices and lectures about it when I've actually written every paper I've ever been assigned.) So did you copy and paste something or otherwise repeat something word for word and didn't cite who who were quoting? Yup. You can get called out for that. It is going to deduct from your earnings too. It's best to write everything yourself and never risk it.

Ohhh... sorry. Guess I misread that. Well you'd never get earnings based on her response. If you had replied then the earnings for your reply would be deducted. Hope she's learned her lesson at least.

NOOOOOOh!..I had NEVER ever been copied somebody else's work. it was somebody responded to my post..luckily I didn't reply to her post so it was only her response that deleted but not my post! I hope I made myself clear.! Now I know where else plagiarism is applied.!

Plagarism is if you copy someone else's work and pass it off as your own. If you did that, and violated MyLots terms you won't be paid for that post and you shouldn't be. MyLot is about contributing to the discussions that we have with your own thoughts.

Oh, I see what you are saying now. That person should not have plagiarized and should not be paid then. Good for you for not doing that.

Plagiarism covers all forms of art and literature, We are being payed here in mylot, therefore what we right is also a form of literature because everythign original we will post here will be Mylot's property. We are not allowed to Plagiarized because those articles are property of other people. Even Music gets plagiarized or even a company's name.

if you actually rewrite an article and changed its spin and make it into something new, that article is now yours. I can give you tips on how to rewrite an article if you are interested. You are talking to a real writer, I am not yet successful but I had experienced being published.
