Although Sachin had reached the 50th century and Dhoni is nearing tthe century will India be able to Save this test match for india.
There is lot more to cover for the Indians.
At the moment India is 448/6,trial by 36 runs with 4 wickets remaining.
There is one more Day left for playing.
I think If India doesn't loose aany wicket today,India will have some 100 uns lead and can save the match.
What do you think???

India is losing this match because of wrong team selection.Dhoni and Sachin did well but it wont be enough untill it rains on last day.Our chief selector and his team has been selecting team emotionally instead of sensibly.First wrong selection is Raina ,i think he is a top class limited overs player but unfortunately he has always been a sitting duck in South Africa. In last tour of India when they suffered a whitewash in ODI series , Raina completely failed to impress , same is the story now.He seriously needs to improve his technique ,so he should take some time off and work on his batting so that he does well in coming ODIs and world cup.I think Pujara is the best choice for playing and number 6.Selection committee made a big blunder in selecting two new bowlers like Unadkat and Yadav.I dont understand why Munaf and RP Singh were not selected. There is no logic behind keeping RP Singh out after good overseas performances.Unadkat with his open action bowls very predictable line, that is he bring the bowl in of left handed batsman and away for right handed batsman at a pace of 125-130.How can you expect that such a bowler can trouble South Africans .RP Singh and Munaf can swing ball both ways.Due to this selection South Africa made 600 runs at run rate of almost 5 on over.Yes the pitch was flat but Indians could have bowled tight and delayed the declaration of South Africa till 3rd day morning,it would have helped the batsman to save the match .If Unadkat and Raina plays in next match also , we would be discussing again in one such topic that how can India save the match.Mr Srikanth is competing with Mr More in race of being worst selector. Its a shame that no 1 team in the world is struggling to avoid an innings defeat due to improper selection.

For starters, I am happy that India is not going down without a fight. Having said that they dug themselves into a really big hole in the first innings by some inept batting. So I do not think they can get out of it without help from the weather. By the way South Africa has snared two more wickets late in the day to make 8 down for India with 30 more to go to avoid an innings defeat. I do not think India will manage to save this match if it does not rain.
Cheers!

Hi ramaswami,
With the fall of six wicket and the most reliable man in the second innings Laxman now things seem to be going off Indian side. However the last hopes sticks around Sachin and dhoni. If Sachin converts his half century into a hundred and Dhoni does not lose his patience the match could be saved.
But there are other possibilities too.

Only rain god can save India from defeat at this stage. With Dhoni and Harbhajan back to the pavilion and only SriSanth and Jaydev to support Sachin It is not even likely they can avoid innings defeat. But there are instances in the past that the whole day's play has been washed off at Centurion. With very good drainage system, unlike on some of the Indian Grounds, The play can begin within one hour of the stoppage of rain. The prospect of match getting washed out are very bleak.
