There is a mouse hiding in my house. He / she comes out occassionally.
What's the best way to deal with (remove) the mouse?

The minute I saw your question, I thought of the answer I would give, which is the same as several others have said: get a cat, preferably a youngish female. When we moved to our present house, we had a few field mice already living here. Our 4-year-old female cat took care of them in no time. The males helped, too, but she (and now our second) female are the fiercer, more focused hunters. And, we've been here for 6 years, and no more mice! Cats help with any bug problems, too.

my husband always deals with the critters that decide to try and move in for the winter. I know that he has tried the human no kill traps, but they just come back. The one problem with poison is that if they die in the walls, the smell can get bad, and it is hard to find it.
