omg: girl commits suicide over wall post?

Saw this posted on my facebook wall. Not sure if it is real but when you click on the link, it takes you to a page for permission. I believe this is likely to be a hoax as indicated by another site.
However, I am more concerned that it may be a way to spread malware. What's your take on this?

Would not surprise me if it were a hoax as so many are created on a daily basis. What I do not understand is why?? What are the jollies in something like this.
Not good as my thinking is that it makes real stories not seem real as we do not know what to trust anymore.
