You don't necessarily need to travel during this season. Not to mention travelling at this time of the year could be very expensive. hotel rates, admission fees and air fares shoot up. And it's almost impossible to book a flight or make reservations because most usually all accommodations or resorts are full.
Families can enjoy just by staying a home, doing their own activities like conducting a mini party, having games, gift giving and all that stuff. As long as your family is there, happiness will always be there.

Well if you have all the funds go for it. Travelling is really fun. What I have said is just my opinion. I'm not forcing you to do it.

Hi there Ely123!
Christmas is a season for family reunions. People have their holiday vacations, both those who are working and those who are studying. It is great for reunions with family, and as you said, with friends. Usually, the airports, ports and terminals are really crowded during this season so I would suggest that you start your travel early to avoid discomforts in traveling and stuff. I would prefer to celebrate at home, though and travel when it's not too crowded.
