Circa 1980s: I was a young lad playing with my Lego bricks while munching away at a bag of potato chips and/or popcorn. Anyway, my mum brought home a very odd-looking at the same time amazing piece of equipment called The Family Computer by Nintendo.
My new console came with games such as Super Mario Bros. Ice Climber, Popeye and Circus Charlie. I remember playing those games until the wee hours of the morning with my cousins. Right now, I still get a kick of finding the Warp Zone in Mario or successfully doing the Konami Code in Contra. I also loved Punch Out. It amazed and frustrated me at the same time especially when I'm up with Super Macho Man or Mike Tyson.
What were your first video games that you ever played? How fast time flies. I now see Gran Turismo 5 as almost "real real". From the 8-bit games of the past to the 3D games of the present, share thy thoughts, gamers!
