Hi Friends,
Sachin Tendulkar has achieved a feat that no other cricketer may be able to surpass — 50 centuries in Test cricket. He holds virtually every batting record. Even the legendary Don Bradman said that Sachin’s batting reminded him of his own. Sachin has been a source of inspiration not only to his own teammates but also to young cricketers throughout the world. Many, however, point out that India has not won a World Cup since Sachin started playing — he has played five World Cups. It is also said about him that his individual records have not always been of much help to the team, and his performance on many occasions when the team needed him the most has been subpar.
I believe that he is the greatest batsman of all time.
What do you think, is Sachin Tendulkar the greatest batsman of

Sachin Tendulkar is the greatest batsman of his time , there is no denying this fact. For all time great, there have been many including W G Grace, Jacob Hobbs, Sir Donald Bradman, Sir Garfield Sobers, Viv Richards, Brian Lara to name a few. It is never fair to compare different era players because rules change, new technologies came and so on.
To me The greatest thing about Sachin is that he has to play nearly all his carrier with a weak team and every opposition knew, get him out and win the match. This increased pressure on him many a times and then expectations of a billion people added to pressure, but he always took it smilingly, never once complained. Who can forget his 114 in perth in 1992 and 169 in 1997 in south africa.
His record speak for itself and it is the length of his carrier ie more than 20 years now and he is still in best of his form which make him one of great cricket player if not the greatest player of all time.

Well, Sachin can be termed as the greatest batsmen of his time or even the century. But rating him as the greatest of all times is little difficult to accept. He easily falls in the category 'Once in a Century Cricketer' for the 21st Century. The previous greats are W.G.Grace(19th Century) and Sir Don Bradman(20th Century).
