India is gng to lose the match that was true...but today sachin showed no character..Taking single on the first or second ball of the over and exposing your tailenders to the south african attack...it was like a suicide what i thought about it...

India lost the match and Sachin remained unbeaten at 111. Will you blame a player who remained not out at the end of the day. India lost the match when they batted very poorly in the first innings. I feel that bowling is not that hostile as well and Harbhajan is no more as threatening he use to be in the past. Bowling attack without Zaheer Khan it has become a toothless bowling attack. Whatever in the second innings too India has chance to save the match and openers Sehwag and Gambhir gave great start but Sehwag played a lose shot which was not required and from them on it was struggling for India. Gambhir got out to a deliver which was not that threatening one but in cricket concentration must be 100% if that goes then one ball is enough for a player to get out. After a good 80 runs Gambhir missed the opportunity to score a century. Dravid got a beautiful bouncy ball and he poked at it. Then lose shot came from Mr dependable V.V.S.Laxman unfortunately and he went for a drive to a over pitched ball and got a snick and went into slips. Raina was hopeless of all in my view and he is never looked comfortable against the shot pitch stuff and he gave a catching practice to South African players who are standing in the slips to ball which was straight and short pitched one. He could have left that ball alone but he poked that ball. After that Dhoni gave a good support to Sachin by playing aggressively but he too got out to a ball which he could have left alone but tried to cut a ball which was short pitched and close to his body.. After this Harbhajan did not show any resistance this time and got out very early and after this Sachin cannot do anything but to give the match to South Africans. When 5th day started, India needed to score 29 runs to make South Africans bat again but tail-enders could not hang on much with Sachin.
For the next test match it is better to give chance to another batsman rather than asking Raina to play again. Indian pace attack of Sreesanth and Ishant Sharma cannot win matches for India and Harbhajan bowling form is too bad as well from long time. Dhoni will not make any changes to batting order because he likes a lot Suresh Raina and there will be changes only in bowling attack, I guess..Let us how will India come back in this test series..

you are right sachin played well/...india was going to lose that wassure but sachin may have stayed at the wicket till he have ensured that southafrica will bat again..i'm blaming him for this that he took single on the morkel's second ball then shree santh got out 1 ball..so if sachin have played more of the deliveries india might have crossed the 25 run lead...

sachin score 114 in 147 balls hitting only 7 Fours and wasting 6 overs .. those 6 overs he has Only played right ??? How can any other player take that ball and thus be blamed ?? Sachin is an opener so he will definitely get more balls than the others ... Had ganguly done like this would have stayed in india team ???? and look in the next day when his 1ooth Century was done he scored 55 against pakistan and he hit 6 Fours in that .Though Virat did the main JOB.. we shout so much about sachin tell me which player was given the chance to come to Indian team at the age of 17 ? so just see the number of years he is playing for indian team ? He was also given 36 Unsuccessful innings to finish his 100th Ton?? Reason many players had background like him for instance Vinod Kambli another marathi ..if u go by assesment of Ramakant Achrekar sachin's coach then both of them had the same talent But Kambli came at age of 22.... I think 80 % of Indian junta is brainwashed like muslims of afghanistan. They are made to believe when an image is created larger than life by media, politicians and corporates. A game that is played by ONLY 10 Countries and NOT even a part of Olympic and NOW Asian games is there any reason to dance and shout ?? Its Just like Congress Party who never wants to believe that Rahul BABA's magic doesn't work coz they have never been able to see and think beyond Gandhi family and thus cant see and imagine that Rahul baba is Not a charishmatic figure and doesnt appeal. Cricket is Controlled by North and West Indian states and Only karnataka in south ,with whom the Money and power is there... so neither can any one say in the name of India and Indians its the exploitation of few states by rest of India that is going on . SHAME SHAME

Come on. Give up such silly arguments. India was eight down and had only two wickets to play for. In the past it has been proven time and again that batsmen cannot be protected for too long by farming the strike and makes it easy for the opposition. Also the trend these days is to allow the lower order batsmen face the music. Look at the way Ishaant stuck it out. The real reason for India's loss is spineless batting in the first order and the lack of fight in the youngsters such as Raina!!
Cheers!

No,i don't think sachin can be blamed for this reason, but he could play some big risky shots also try to keeping strike, main reason is any top or middle order batsman can not set with tail orders in this kind of situation.

Well India should be grateful of Sachin otherwise this loss would have been much bigger and shameful than what it is now.If someone is to be blamed its wrong selection policy , Unadkat got a match and RP Singh, Munaf didnt get a chance.Simply ridiculous.RP has done very well overseas, he could have been best replacement of Zaheer Khan.Indian bowling was very poor, it was like a bowling machine throwing the balls at pace of 125-130.Indian pace bowlers could have bowled a tighter line to buy some time for their batsman for saving the match. But South African reached 600 in less than four sessions.About Sachin giving strike to Sree and Unadkat, well there was nothing left in the match, even if he had played 4 balls and taken strike on fifth , 2 balls were enough for Morkel or Steyn to take the wickets.Indian players should take inspiration from Sachin and perform well to compete with this strong South African team.

You miss one point that Sachin after all is human. He can behave like a superman or a Bollywood hero. Playing both ends single handedly scoring fours and sixers of five balls and then taking a single off the last ball of the over. Some players tried that successfully for some time against mediocre balling and with some bit of luck but you can't expect that against quality balling like that of South Africa and again it was early in the morning. Player of even Sachin's caliber requires time to settle down and stroke freely. Let us except the loss as stroke of luck for loosing the toss and creditable one considering the way we batted in second innings. Had Dhoni won the toss and put S.A. in to bat first the result of the match could have been different. You wouldn't have seen the same stroke play from Amlas and De Villiers because playing under pressure and playing without it makes lot of difference.
