I just read that if you add vinegar as part of a salad dressing, you will burn your tummy fat quicker. Needless to say, I will try it. I´ll make a salad dressing to keep in my fridge with vinegar, some olive oil, salt and oregano.
Do you use vinegar in your salads? The article says it´s the acetic acid what does the trick. I like vinegar so I will start with my next salad. And if I can get hold of some fish, I´ll make a fish in vinegar that is out of this world (although I don´t know id the vinegar changes with cooking).
I read diet tips and health tips once in a while and pass on the ones I feel can be done without so much trouble. If I can take a couple of inches from my waist by adding vinegar to my lettuce, then let´s do it!
What do you think of this? Would you be willing to try it? Share

My province has been a large base for producing and selling vinegar nationally since a long time ago. It's kinda like a special flavoring characterized of my province. We eat vinegar often in our meals. If you wanna taste the native and tasy vinega with terrific aroma and taste, welcome here!

Hello
I have never heard that about vinegar. I know that cyder vinegar is good for Arthritis. I can't eat salads in winter because its very cold at the moment. Fish sounds good.
I think eat what you want but just keep the portions a bit smaller.

But If it is for my health I will surely try a few drops of it everyday.

Before having too much vinegar, you should check whether you have stomach ulcer. The burning sensation could be that.

Yes, vinegar is a whole lot dressing to salads than the regular fatty ones. I've heard that it does really have a lot of good health benefits. I like balsamic and apple cider in my salads.

I love having a salad, but obviously i prefer it when the weather is hot. Yet i will be having a salad on christmas day. I don't mind vinegar really but don't often have it. I have never put vinegar on a salad and is something i have never contemplated. If what you say is true then i will be putting vinegar on my salads all the time. I truly do need to burn off quite a lot of my tummy fat. Thanks for this information. At the end of the day i do not lose anything if it doesn't work, but if it does then i gain by losing weight which is what i need to do and as you say it is such a simple thing to do really. I intend to start as soon as possible. Thanks again.

Make a dressing with olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and a bit of dry oregano for a nice green salad. If you find it too sour, put in a tablespoon of water.

I love salads especially those with vinegar. However, even though I am fond of eating it I still have my belly. hehehe... Maybe I am still eating too much that is why salad w/ vinegar doesn't have an effect on me.

I love the taste of vinegar and when I eat salad I have a dressing that is low in fat plus it has lots of vinegar in it. I have a salad of cucumber, lettuce, spring onion and cress. Sometimes I eat red cabbage, carrot and cauliflower with this lovely tasting salad dressing. I would like to burn my tummy fat more quickly.

Well I'm not sure about burning calories! but I just love my balsamic vinegar in salads especially in winter it just give this deep strong flavour so connected with cold weather...but in summer time I just love a simple dressing[ olive oil, italian herbs, and a good squeeze of fresh lemon juice]it has the same benefit as vinegar but very refreshing, fresh herbs is best, I also like to add some fresh cilantro[coriander] it gives such a zest to a summer salad!

I love cilantro for the fresh taste. I grow it in my garden and cut some leaves when I need it. I like vinegar for ome slads and lemon for others. And I wouldn´t put any of them to tomatos but some parsil, cilantro or basil leaves do help

Vinegar has many health benefits. Using it in salad dressing may have one or two additional benefits.
One benefit would be in 'firing' taste buds that the other salad ingredients don't. There are taste buds that are 'fired' by six distinct flavors . Sweet, sour, bitter, savory, salty and (surprisingly) calcium. The more buds that 'fire', the more complex a flavor is. A symphony of flavor, so to speak.
The other benefit, depending on how long between when you make your salad and eat it, is that it is a preservative for other ingredients. If you use fruits or vegetables that tend to turn brown (or oxidize), vinegar can help that.

You are right. I usually use vinegar against oxidation. But it was news for me that it helped burn fat. I hope it does as I need it urgently

Sorry, this was not the correct expression for that... Actually I meant pumpkin seed oil. This is the oil made of the roasted pumpkin seeds of a styrian garden pumpkin. It can be used in salads as well as some other meals. It tastes a little different than olive oil, it's hard to describe the taste... somwhow a little sour. It's not everyone's taste, but I like it very much. Pumpkin seed oil is very popular in Styria and also in Slowenia.
For more details, you can visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pumpkin_seed_oil.

I also love vinegar in salads. And what I also like very much is core oil on it. Here in austria in Styria this oil is very famous, and there are also a lot of Styrian people who also like this.

Welcome to mylot, Arteta,
It could be one of those old housewife TALES. Yes. But many meds were discovered following what the said oldwives did. And it is not expensive and not mandatory either. You have the idea, you are free to try it or not.
Happy posting!

Yes of course, vinegar is really good for salads. I would recommend the apple cider vinegar. Aside from it's very aromatic quality, it is also good for our health.Would you believe that it lowers bad cholesterol level and when you take it before your meal, it makes you lost your appetite. Happy cooking.

I also like vinegar so much and I take a little amount of it everyday. But to make salad, I don't really use vinegar but I use fresh lime. I usually mix vinegar with chili because I love spicy food. Maybe I will try it later when I'm in the mood for salad. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day
