TRON Legacy..

Have You seen this Movie Yet since its release? As it's considered to be a sequel to the 1982 scifi Movie "Tron",I was wondering how many of You would recall the original,or have a copy of it at home to watch before deciding to go to the cinema to see (Maybe!) one of the 3D screenings of the New movie..The technology of CGI has evolved by generations since the first Movie,so a comparison there would be a non starter..though the visuals will be an important part of this,I'm hoping the storyline and characters can stand on their own..what did/do You think?

I haven't seen it yet, mainly because all I remember of the first one is that it was boring. And I'm a Sci/Fi junkie. But then again, it was a long time ago and I might have been really sleepy in 1982.

Ah. My kids went to see it and really like it. They're hard to please as far as movies go, so I might have to go see this one.

Well..one thing I'll say for this one, there's more action in it....but if you didn't like the first one, this is a progression onwards from the older Movie..Hence Tron Legacy...!

Tron was an excellent movie of its time. I can't say I've seen it since it came out... well, maybe once on TV, not that the medium did it much justice there. I haven't seen the movie yet, but do want to see it (but not in 3-d)

FX wise, and for what it does with the digital world and with CG to portray life "Inside",I like how they kept the vehicles and such that they're still familiar from those of the first movie..Not to get into the story too much, there are relationships carried forward from the first movie, and explored more here..

I haven't seen it yet, but hope to go on the 24th when it comes out where I am. It looks interesting if nothing else. I have actually never seen the original Tron movie, so maybe I should cue it up soon.

If You can,I would recommend seeing the Original Movie before going to see "Legacy",though the poster above says it works on its own...There are character relationships carried forward from the Original, but that can be picked up from the context..Hope You enjoy it!

I am looking forward to watching this movie by the end of this week. A couple of my friends have already watched and these friends of mine are actually a big fan of movies with great effects and great story lines. Most of the time we ask each other with regards to our opinions about the movies we watched and since I've heard some nice things about it, I will be watching it soon.

From the last couple of Posters who've never seen the original Movie,I was wondering if you had seen it? If You're going for the Soundtrack,Visuals,fx,and immersion in this digital world,I think You'll enjoy it...

It's great! i just watch it last night. Well, i've never seen the original, so i can't say much in comparison. I think yes, the storyline and characterse can stand on their own, it's really refreshing to see this kind of movie. it makes you think. (well, i don't know about you but i've never seen the original, so the storyline and characters are new to me). the visual aspect of the movie is breathtaking. but, somehow the 3D effects does not really stand out, almost nothing in existence. It sure can use a lot of improvement. by the way, i would LOVE to see the original movie? do you guys have any copy or link to download? thx

It's interesting that You've never seen the Original Movie and enjoyed this one..(I'm reading on IMDB some of the cast weren't even born when the original one came out...and that's making ME feel Old!)good to hear that the movie can stand on its own! But I would recommend that you check out the Original sometime to see where it all came from..

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm excited to! I loved the original and can't wait to see what technology will do for the sequel. I also think they should make sequels every 20 or 30 years.. make it kind of a journey through the history of CGI.

I got to see a 3D showing last night, came in a little late to see a little exposition of what happened since the first Movie..this part takes place in conventional 2D..the 3D kicks in on entering the Digital World..visually stunning!
