Screeeetch!

Hi Mylotters, I was just curious if any of you get this uneasy feeling when something gets scratched as in teacher breaking a chalk and her nails accidentally scratches the blackboard (before the white board) or your cat scratching the roof, Is it only me who feels this or does everybody experienced it? What is it? or what triggers it, like goose bumps and all? I hope you can share something.

Okay you know that feeling you get when someone scratches the board, well I get this same feeling not from those sounds but if you were to twist and or bit on thick cloths.
In fact typing this response and thinking of the feeling has me shivering as my goosebumps are inflaming and since it is so cold here they both do not mix. Yikes!

Oh I know this feeling well!
It's the same one as when a shovel is raked across the concrete! 
Terrible noises all of them. However, I got over the chalkboard one when I was a teacher and used it to torture my students if they were not acting properly!

oh my yes I am here at GoldCrest and we have two trollys that need new wheels and screetch all the time. it makes me want to yell,, for goodness sakes oil those wheels before you make us deaf. its really
so annoying and nobody will do a d amned thing about it like mayve they do not hear it at all. it is a horrendous noise though.grrrrrrrrrrrrr@louievill (28851)

, any 911 calls complaining because of a screeetch that gives tham goose bumps

even i feel some what irritated and feel uneasy when i hear the sounds of scratch on roof or black board.
i guess everyone feels the same when they hear these kind of sounds.

oh thank you, I thought it was just personal or limited to a country cause Filipino have a word for it "Ngilo" or "nangingilo" like gnashing of teeth LOL but no scientific explanation and you just get goose pimples or bumps all over your body, really a weird feeling
