Well, India has been the no:1 time in the recent past, and playing very good cricket in test matches. but it looks like South African pitches are making the cricket miserable for the world no:1 team. Will India be able to win this 3 match series after lossing the first one?? now Indian team and the captain dhoni will be under huge pressure, surely they have to at least make the series draw, for that they have to win at least one test match now. do you think India can win a test match with kind of bowling we displayed in first test? Can Indian bowlers excell in south african conditions?

venkit ,as india has been playing very good cricket from last couple of years, india can easily bounce back as Zaheer will strengthen the bowling attack in coming match and the great fight back shown by indian team in their second innings batting will definately help them to boost their confidence.India just needs some luck to go their way, hope it will happen in next match. As next match is in DURBAN,which has maximum indian population, would definately help indian team to get good fan following in this game and right now indian team really needs it.

surely this indian team has the capability to bounce back, if zak comes back then it will increase the confidence of the team. but winning the series is the real question, for that india should win the two tests left in this series, winning both these test well be really difficult.

ya draw too is nice one to have. but if this team dont make draw(at least) then it will be really dissapointing, because this has been the no:1 team in recent past, very good players, and just before the world cup, so every indian fan expect at least a draw.

venkit, i totally agree to you mate, winning the series would be a great achievement if india can do so but i feel at best india can draw this test series and drawing the series too would be a good achievement if u look at the present scenario and south africa's in form team. But hope india would bring something similar what south africa had done in 2007 series the way they had come back strongly after loosing first match.

I think Gavaskar was spot on in his comments over the chances of Indian team in South Africa.According to him key to India's success will be the fitness of fast bowlers.I think bowlers have not done enough practice to cope up with conditions in South Africa. The approach of Indian bowlers was not correct, they thought that all you have to do is pitch the ball up, pitch will do the rest. That was not the case unfortunately , you have to hit the deck hard to extract bounce which can be dangerous for batsman.I am surprised that Sreesanth who bowled so well in last SA tour could not get this right. In Durban bowlers need to bowl tight line and length so as to make SA batsman work hard for their runs.India surely has the ability to pull this one off but they have to apply themselves well. They have done great comebacks recently and that what have made them no1 team.I hope India is not affected by any more injuries to fast bowlers. We need Zak, Sree and Ishant fit and they surely have the ability to give hard time to opposition.

Ishant plays well when he is in supporting role. The moment he is given the role of strike bowler he crumbles .Its been happening from long time now. When Zaheer was not in SL he struggled , same happened in South Africa. He played well in absence of Zaheer in 3rd test against NZ but then it was in India where our fast bowlers do well normally as they get reverse swing from SG ball. This can be the reason of his loss in form .I hope he is back to his best in Durban.

defenitely, fastbowlers are the key to win tests in SA. Zak,Sree and Ishant in good form can lead india to the victory, but zak is not fully fit and the rest two is not in good form, lets hope that they will bowl well and indian team will win test matches in SA.

with the current form i personally think india has the chance to do this. it is difficult i admin, but then we have a team which can deliver at that stage. and when we start performing to that potential i am sure we can level and even win the series. but yes zahir khan is very important. if he is not playing then it is possible i am sure.

so you belive in this team very much and hope this indian team will make victory in this SA test series. zaheer is the key for the indian team to win test in this condition. he shoud be able to play well also, partially fit zaheer khan will not make a big impact. and the bowlers like sreeshanth and harbajan should support him well then only indian team can win the test in south africa.

I do not think,India will be able to win this series. Dhoni might have been a very lucky captain, but the law of averages is bound to catch up, and it is going to happen in South africa. You are right, the Indian bowlers are not up to the mark, and I wont be surprised, if India loose the series 3-0 and South Africa become the new number 1 test team in the world.

well thats an interesting stats that you have supplied. but staying on top is not the big thing, winning in south african condition is the real thing. it what india had not been able to acheive. if this no:1 team dont win the test series in SA then when will india make that important test series success in south africa?

Players like Hashim Amla has said that they will seal the series. But, I don't think so. I think India will win the series. If they don't win they will at least draw the series. We have quality players. We are not worried.

but after the first day of second test i dont feel that india will win this series, lets try to manage ateleast a draw in the series by winning one of the two test matches left.
