Does it feel like Christmas has snuck up on you this year?

It just hit me that it was this Saturday. Well I knew Christmas was coming up but it just seems like this entire holiday season just went off like a blur. This entire year in fact. Really, I sit here, on the 21st day of December and just wonder, where my life has gone this year. Christmas is coming and I feel like I need another couple of weeks(or maybe a month) to get mentally prepared.

I haven't experienced such effect with Christmas, but I did feel the same way on my birthday (December 15th). It just came sneaking and suddenly hit me, a day before. My friend asked me how will I be celebrating my birthday and I was like "Birthday? Oh, birthday! So close already!"
That's crazy, time passes so fast that you don't even notice!

My Birthday really kind of catches me off guard every year. Especially as I got older. Which really could be explained that I'm so busy that the birthday tends to fly underneath my radar. Yes! It has been a weird year, that's for sure. I feel like everyone was getting into the Holiday spirit early this year. Even I was! And then boom...it was just here in no time. It still feels unreal that Saturday is Christmas. I guess things change as you get older too...so Christmas tends to feel like it comes and goes faster and doesn't feel quite the same as when you were younger!

I'll agree with that. When I was younger, I was anxious for Christmas to get here. Somedays I wish I was seven or eight again. Now these days, slow down, please. I can't keep up with you. Oh no, I got my shopping done months ago. It is just the actual day that snuck on me. I'm physically prepared, but its not just that Christmas feel that I have.
