Rest is very essential for healthy Life, But also too much sleeping Leaves Bad impact on your health, it results you Fragile and Very Lazy for all the day. I head from doctors, Peoples should rest on bed normally 8 hours. And for me, I really take care about my health, Sometime i sleeps 4 to 5 hours in exams, but Normally i do rest 8 to 10 hours.

I was sleeping an average of 3 - 4 hours a day the whole week except sunday when I sleep 8 - 10 hours a day. I was like that for 4 years. During the 4th year, I would see myself at a lost in some days. I know that it is not healthy but I was assigned as the 24/7 man in the office. What can I do? I resigned. For the past 3 months, I am averaging from 5 -7 hours. Improving. Hope to get back on track with regards to sleep.

hi doggydimon! 3-4 hours a day for four years is really harsh. Thats' a wrong working schedule and they have no right to assign you to that. You could complain. You did right on resigning, our health is the most precious possession we have, and we must care for it.
I hope you will find a better job.
Have a nice day and a good sleep )).

I usually sleep in shifts of 4 hours. I'll go to bed at 4am, and I'm up by 8am. Then around 2pm I'll lay back down for a 4 hour nap. Somedays I have really bad anxiety, and I can't sleep to save my life. On days that I drink I pass out with ease, and end up sleeping 10+ hours.

wow, that's some schedule. It seems mine isn't the worst heheee;)). I am sorry to hear that you can't sleep sometimes. I have this anxiety at times. It seems reading or walking is the only way to fight them.
But we are ok like that, so, who cares, right? Have a nice day getpaidtotype ^_^

I usually sleep for 6 hrs daily and i am practicing this from last 3 years. Earlier i was not as planned but then one day i realized the only best thing i have is my good health and i am running it by myself so i started taking care of it and believe me, not only in the mater of sleep many other parts of life also i have gained a healthy life now.

I don't get much sleep but during the week I usually get about 6-7 hrs a sleep at night and then on the weekends I sleep about 9 or 10 hrs. My pattern is never the same because I like to go out and get home late so I go to bed late and wake up early. I can never stay at home, not a home body lol. But I have this weekend off work because of the holidays so I'm going to catch up on as much sleep as i can because i'm super tired lol.

I've never been a good sleeper. For some reason, when night comes, my brain is alive and ready to take on the world--too bad everyone else is asleep. Even if I have spent hours working or studying, I cannot sleep. When I was little, a doctor told my mother to try turning on white noise to help my brain slow down--he said it was just very active...
So my sleep schedule is backwards. I end up in bed around 3 or 4 am, and wake up anytime between 8am and 10am. So although I don't sleep that much, I get to sleep in. However, usually when I wake up, I feel like I have been up roaming all night. Maybe I'm a night traveler...

when night comes, my brain is alive and --
too bad everyone else is asleep. :D How i understand you.
I feel the same. Used to have nightmares when tried to sleep by a schedule of normal people. Was sleeping at lessens. with time it passed, cause I was to be ready for school every morning, but, given opportunity not to sleep at night - i will stay active when all my household is asleep. sometimes i go for a walk at 2 at night with a dog. try that, it helps a little. not much, but still.:)
I am sorry to hear you have that problem. Have a nice day and good sleep))) Maybe we could get a night time work.

Well, i think that this does vary quite often with me. I think that it is supposed to be around 8 hours of sleep that we need each and every day. I would say that the most sleep i get is about 9 hours, but most of the time i am getting around 5 or 6 hours. I get so tired but with so many things to do it is difficult. I work full time and i am also a single parent of a 2 year old so i am often kept busy both at work and also at home. Then when you look at the fact that things like shopping and cleaning aswel as other jobs need to be done it is no wonder that i get so very little sleep. I also come onto the computer and get things done on here. On a couple of occasions i have even fallenn asleep in my chair whilst still sat at the computer, this really isn't good for my health.

I usually sleep for ten hours (starting from 9 p.m to 7 a.m). If you want your brain to function well you should sleep for atleast 8 hours daily.
