In my country rice is a controlled item meaning the price of rice is uniform as the government decide on the cost of rice. All retailers/wholesalers are earning very little on each bag of rice as they are not allowed to increase the price. But since rice is the staple food of we Asians, you can make profit on quantity sales. It is a fast moving goods so maybe it is feasible to start rice wholesale business in your area.
