You have some good answers already and they're right on. Be thankful for the things you do have and pray for peace for yourself and others.
You live in the United States, so you can get help in a lot of ways. If you're truly broke, go to the Salvation Army or other church outreaches in your area. Also, if you volunteer to help others, you will find yourself feeling better. There is always someone who is worse off and when we volunteer, we see them.
Give what you have and you'll feel better, too. Giving doesn't mean just things. Give of your time and your care. The elderly, children, neighbors, homeless... you have something to offer each of them, even if it's just your time.

Hi Ely,
My response is a bit late. I hope that even though you did not have much money that you were able to enjoy yourself this holiday. I did not have much money for gifts either. No one in our family really did except maybe the 16 yr old who works but does not have any bills. Gifts were sparse this year but we had a great time all getting together. Everyone brought a dish and we just hung out and had a great time. I hope you were at least able to enjoy some good friends and family.

Hey I've been there.. and believe me there are great organizations like toys for tots and your local hometown if you got kids. But really its not about money.
Last year I was broke like totally.. and it was the best christmas ever. Make MEMORIES not gifts.

For one thing you should remember that Christmas is not about money it is about love and life and the Celebration of Jesus' Birth..
but if you need (or want) money there are plenty of ways to make money online,I make probably a little over $100 a month when I put my mind to it
