Jillian's leaving to become a mommy...

Yesterday I discovered Jillian Michaels plans to leave The Biggest Loser after next season.. but I didn't know why, and the interview I saw did not say why. Today I saw in OK magazine that her reason for leaving is because she wants to start a family. The magazine says she has a medical reason for not being capable of having her own children, so she wants to adopt a child from Africa. Just thought I'd share that info. So, are you happy for her, proud of her decision? Do you think she'll make a good mommy?

She will be an energetic and caring mom. Now that you have mentioned this, I remember hearing her on a show, I think it was "The Talk" could have been "The Doctors" clarifying the decision to adopt, because she had said she was not going to do that (get pregnant) to her body. Some people took it wrong. she explained that she has Metabolic Syndrome and might not be able to get pregnant and if she did, it might be hard on her body. I do not remember why she said she wanted to specifically adopt a child from Africa.

The clip in the magazine just said that she loved Africa, that she wants to bring as much Africa back home with her as she can.

Seems if she knew enough about it to write a book then, she should know enough to get her through a pregnancy??? Um...there is others ways of bringing bits and pieces of Africa home...besides adopting a child there..because once that child becomes and American citizen..doesn't that change things alot??

I do remember now that she has meabolic syndrome.. I read that book of hers about how to get the correct metabolism for your body to burn the best amount of calories..I think it's called The Metabolic Diet or something like that. Well, I didn't read the whole book, just bits of it, but the info about her illness was in there.

Wow that is cool that she is ready to start a family now. But why Africa? I know they are millions of needy children that need a family to love and cherish them out there, But we have that right here in America also that need the same thing. Seems all the celebrities are adopting children out of the Country it seems to be getting a fashion statement anymore to have a foreign child on your arm..I have no problem with that really..but they still are a need right here...for children needing a home..

I think she just really likes Africa. Personally if I planned to adopt I'd get a child from right here in America.. but I'm rather patriotic like that.

Wow? So this could be partly due to this next season getting ready to start Jan. 4th is why they are bringing in 2 more additional trainers? If she really leaves I hope the replacement will be good so the show does not end up going the way of American Idol and loosing a lot of it's viewers. For me I really enjoy watching what her and Bob bring to the show, but if she feels it is time for her to move on, I wish her the best.

I too really love the show and hope it doesn't suffer from her leaving. We'll have to see.

She will be missed but family needs to come before career and if she wants to start a family then good for her and if adopting is how she chooses that is wonderful as well. I think she will make a great mom. Maybe she will be back in a season or two.

So happy! It must be one of her dreams and when you have kids they have to be number one on the list....in my book anyway. Things I wanted waited until my kids had what they need...however....since I was not married for most of the time when I did raise my kids others might think the spouse comes first...for me..it was my kids.

Biggest Loser is one of my fav shows, and Jillian is my favorite trainor too. I think that if she can't physically have children, it's a good idea she's adopting, before she get's to old. A child will give her more responsibilities, which is a good thing. So, I'm happy for her that she's going to adopt, but it's definetly not going to be the same without her on the Biggest Loser.
