Have you noticed how high college is nowadays? In the UK there was a protest last week because the tuition went up to 1400.00 dollars a semister. I wish someone would explain why they can go to school so cheap and we pay out the nose. I also read an artical that 70% of the online students at harvard and other major law schools are in prison and getting free tuition. we as civilans have to jump through hoops and still can't get in because we are not wealthy or don't have the electives to get in.

College is always going up. I just decided recently to go back to school, and I am paying an arm and a leg to pay for classes, books, supplies, etc. It is totally unfair that the prices keep going up. What I have noticed is that since the world is more global, colleges around the world are competing for students from around the world, and so they raise the prices because they know that they have a larger pool of applicants than just a few years before. Here, where I go to school now, we have so many international students, because they are willing to pay the (almost double) tuition rate, and live on campus, and participate in all of the school's offerings at whatever cost. While the rest of us, just try and get a degree. So, they know who they're marketing to, when they raise the prices. That's all it comes down to. Schools are businesses, just like any other company. It's all about the bottom line.
