What are you writing?

Hello Mylotters, What are you writing? Do you write in a blog? Do you write books, articles, online, offline? Do you make any money? How and how much? I love to write and would love to see a little income from it. I was wondering where to start. I was hoping I could learn from those that have tried it and skip making a bunch of beginner mistakes if possible.

I write a lot of different things. I do two newsletters for my "business" which is ministry based. Then I write and produce books - mostly study guides and am working on making them into ebooks. I also write articles for a couple of places and would like to find more sources!

Wow, you are a busy busy person. I hope you are enjoying it all. Life is to short to not enjoy what you do. Do you find joy in what you are doing?

I do enjoy writing! I have done some writing for years, but the last two years I have really begun writing more. I am home all day now and just need to get more organized to accomplish more!

I used to do some paid forum posting and the odd bit of article writing for pocket money. Unfortunately my internet access is now so poor that I´ve had to give it up, which is a real disappointment to me. I never made a lot of money, but I enjoyed it anyway.

Oh I did enjoy it. But it was definitely work because you still have a certain amount of deadlines to keep to.

Writing has been my favorite hobby since my college years, and is still is. Whenever I have the spare time for it, I write articles, short stories, reviews, commentaries, and so on. I am mainly writing online. There are a number of programs where one can write online. One of the sites I have been writing at is "Review Stream". One can write brief reviews on a variety of topics, things one comes across in the day-to-day activities, shopping, movies, restaurants, travel, hotels, etc., and get paid when the submission is approved.

I write in my blog (the link is on my profile if anyone wants to visit it :)), but I don't really earn that much money on it. I also write articles on Triond. It's a lot of fun and I earn about $1.5 a month on it. It's not that much either but I haven't got that many articles yet. I would love to earn some more money on it than I do now. But I guess I can't complain, I make some extra cash for doing something I love.

Every little penny adds up. Id be excited about $1.50 a month. Its more then I make right now. Im a stay at home mom and I have chosen to stay home with my kiddos for the last 11 years. Id love to add a few fantastic vacations to my year and it would really help if I could add a little more money.

Wow what a lot of questions at once! I am currently writing my first book, I do write articles online,I do have a blog that I just started and yes I get paid...not a lot yet but regular. I write for Triond and I think it's a pretty good place to start. Advice to newbies...when you first start write about things you know about. As you begin to get more comfortable in what you are doing then begin to branch out an write about anything and everything. Learn to research and gather information and learn how to promote yourself. If you choose to start a blog give it a theme and stick with it. Make it either useful or interesting enough so that people that visit will want to come back...kinda like repeat customers in a store. I have a blog on a site called Open Salon under the same name that I use here...I have a post there you really should read about earning income online. Have yourself a really great day and good luck to you.

I have written a couple of books and a lot of songs and poetries, but when it comes to books I do have struggles, You know I am not a best selling author yet but who knows someday I will be. I dont know what the future brings but I have to be positive.

I would think that the more you try the more chance you have at success. I think I will try a book soon but I have no idea if I will ever try to get it published. For me its more of the fact that I want to do it for me. Though the money would be awesome.

Right now I am working on my first book--a real one that is going to get published one of these days. I write for some freelance sites, I don't make a fortune but I can easily make over 100 dollars each month depending on my working schedule. There are many sites that paid you to write articles, projects, and things like that. If you are from the US, I recommend textbroker, is legit and you can make some decent money from this site, based on your writing skills.
