Your mobile phone Battery

Friends, our cell phone battery get discharged frequently, these tips might be helpful.
New batteries should be fully charged before their first use to obtain maximum capacity.
Nickel-based batteries should be charged for 16 hours initially and run through 2-4 full charge/full discharge cycles, while lithium ion batteries should be charged for about 5-6 hours.
Ignore the phone telling you that the battery is full--this is normal but is not accurate if the battery is not initialized.
Keep the battery cool. Your battery will last longest if used near room temperature, and nothing wears on a battery like extended exposure to high temperatures.
While you can’t control the weather, you can avoid leaving your phone in a hot car or in direct sunlight, and you don’t have to carry your phone in your pocket, where your body heat will raise its temperature.
In addition, check the battery while it’s charging. If it seems excessively hot, your charger may be malfunctioning.
Charge your battery correctly, in accordance with its type. Most new cell phones have lithium-ion batteries, while older ones generally have nickel-based batteries.
Read the label on the back of the battery or in the technical specifications in the manual to determine which yours is.
Did you find this useful? Add your tips please
Professor ‘Bhuwan’. . Cheers have a lucky day ahead.
MERRY CHRISTMAS
HAPPY NEW YEAR

I don't use my cell phone a lot. I feel it is a burden to have a phone and I feel very free without a phone. I haven't had a phone for the last six months and I finally got one a week ago. I am tied to the phone company for the next two years. I have to pay a huge pay if I cancel the contract. This is how phone companies work here. Also, I have to pay aout fifty dollars including tax a month.
When it comes to battery, I charge it once in a while when I think about the battery. I don't have to charge it very often since I don't use it much. I have heard from my past experience that the battery uses a lot when you put in vibration. So, it is not advisable to put your phone when you are travelling and when you don't have access to phone charging.

dear professor,
i heard that while charging your phone, it has to be in the off mode because charging would be faster. do not also charge for a few minutes and remove its charger even if the battery is not full yet because if you do frequently, you will just shorten the life of the battery.
thank you for sharing professor.
merry christmas and a happy new year.

Hi Professor, you've provided very useful tips. Well, at most I only charge for 12 hours for the new phone because I'm afraid of overcharging it. I didn't know we have to charge for so long. Thanks!

I don't know what type I have, but it only takes a few hours to charge it up. I have found though, that it is better to wait until the battery is completely dischareged and I get the low battery warning, before i ever think about charging it again. It seems like the battery doesn't drain as fast that way, and it last longer before I have to charge it up again. Sometimes I charge my battery up with the phone turned off, and sometimes I charge it with it on, as I sometimes will use it I just leave it on. I am not sure which is best to do, as I think it depends on the individual. I will shur the phone off to charge it if I won't be using it, for the duration, especially at night. Now, if I am charging it up during the day, then I will leave it on, because I don't want to miss any calls should I get any. Thank you for the information, and have a good day, and Merry Christmas.
