Hubert Webb, a son of a former Senator in the Philippines was detained for 15 years for the Vizconde Massacre. He was originally sentenced for life-imprisonment but because of their motion reconsideration the judges decide to release him and the other accused because the prosecution failed to prove that they were guilty beyond reasonable doubt for the crime due to inconsistent testimony of the star witness and the facts and evidences presented by Webb's camp proving his innocence. Mr. Lauro Vizconde, the left loved one of the massacre victims, wants to file a motion for reconsideration (despite of the judge's statement that he can't be able to do so because it will be a double jeopardy) because he do believe that Webb and the rest were guilty to the brutal crime and his law consultant said that he still have the right to file for that motion because the case will be expired on June, 2011 (it is said on the law that an unsolved crime will be close if it reach 20 years)...
My question is, if you were in Mr. Vizconde's position, will you point the same suspects even though the evidences prove the innocence of Webb, et. al. or will you search for the real suspect instead of relying to the previous statement of the untrusted star witness? I want to hear from you mates...

thanks for the respond, but i think that our criminal justice system is very ineffective and so slow and careless in gathering information as well as in implementing the law... Imagine, the case last for 15 years and then, they will dismiss the case against the accused. That's not all, Webb et al. were the third batch of the accused arrested by the NBI, so it means that there are other accused that should be point out or further investigate aside from them....

If I were Mr. Vizconde, I will move on. It has been years that I've been fighting for the justice of my family's killing and yet after the long wait, it come to a useless end.
I'm not saying that he must give up but good Jesus, he already spent the last years of his life fighting the battle. The justice system in our country is not something that we can fully relied upon, sadly.
If Webb isn't the criminal, then who? And is it not too late to chase for the real one(s)? It has been ages....
This kind of scenario needs divine intervention, a miracle. It is already out of human control. I don't know but, I strongly believe that Mr. Vizconde must move on and leave this case unto God's hands.
Besides, I doubt if really Webb is the criminal. What if, he is not? He served jail time already for the crime he did not commit and if he ever did commit such crime, the years he spent in jail is good enough.

This is not justice in my point of view, they must investigate further and not only capture the culprit but also give punishment to him as well. Mr. Vizconde who is innocent and its already proved, there must be a way to compensate him for those days which he spent in the dark side without any guilt.
