What are the ways to make our articles effective and impressive?

I think the most important element in writing for an internet audience is readability. Make sure your article is scannable which means that if a reader comes to read your articles, make sure he can understand your articles just by scanning them. Hardly any internet reader would read articles word for word unless the writer has a very good sense of humor and is very entertaining. To make your articles scannable, provide bulleted lists. Write short paragraphs and go straight to the point. Remember to use simple words. It's annoying for internet readers to always refer to the dictionary in order to understand your articles. So choose a simple everyday word rather than a technical jargon. Use the thesaurus to find alternative words. And remember most articles are in the format of Introduction-Body-Conclusion. Write lists and tips. It's the easiest format for articles.

There are a couple of things that I do when writing articles. For one, I try to get some sort of outline together in my head first. This helps me organize the information so as not to be repetitive. I also try to use various tools when I can or if I run into a wall. I try to keep a dictionary and a thesaurus handy. Using different words rather than the same one over and over helps make a more "colorful" article!
