How fast do you reckon someone can lose weight

I've heard so many things on the internet, news and everywhere around the world about people trying to lose weight by sticking to certain diets and training methods, but how long does it really take for your body to lose those few pounds?

Minimize the intake of carbohydrates because this can increase your wight rapidly in no time. I always eat plenty of rice and now I am doom of having a 78kls weight. No matter how I try I can't stop eating rice. But before I loose my weight in just a month when I used to discipline my self. What I did before is eat non-oily food, a little carbs like bread, I do jogging every morning, drink hot water because it can help burn fats, I eat 1 bread every 3 hours just to prevent from having ulcer. So in 1 month you can lose a large amount of weight.
I am try to get my diet back in this Holiday season, it is still impossible. Maybe next year.
