Do you know about the Blue Holes in the Bahamas? They are the sinkholes which were created by erosion mostly from rainwater in the sea's soft rocks. There are some around Belize, the Red Sea, and the Bahamas. The deepest one is in the Bahamas, known as Dean's Blue Hole. Explorations have discovered a marine life called Remipedia, which was thought to be extinct from 150 million years ago. Has anyone been to a blue hole and dived there?

I had never heard of this prior to your discussion. I took a look at the links and wow, the blue one is so pretty.
Thanks for sharing and sorry I can contribute much, outside of saying I find it very educational.

I like to go snorkeling and I haven't ever tried diving. When I was 34 years old I went on a trip to Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. Whilst in Belize I went snorkeling around the waters of Caye Caulker. I snorkeled with sting rays and nurse sharks. In a place that did Internet I saw a poster of the Blue Hole diving site. Wow!
