Is Chateswara Pujara better than Raina

one innings or two innings did not proop , a player it is good or not.in cricket always experience is a big thing this way Raina is better than pujara.

Sure, Chateswara Pujara has played only 1 good innings....in Bangalore against the Aussies. But, remember, he played that classic knock when the team was chasing a Very Tricky Target. He has been through the grind of the Domestic Cricket and has seen all types of situations and been through all types of pressures. He has the ability to handle these South African pacers on their den. Suresh Raina is a tiger at home pitches and a mouse on the lively foreign pitches. He is there purely because of Dhoni pushing his IPL teammate. He is a misfit in the Tests. Even Murali Vijay is better than Raina in Tests.

ya pujara has been displaying very good cricket in domestic conditions, he should be given the chance, he should be given chance in the comming test, where indian team is one down in the series, if he plays well under this condition he can be really a good asset for india in future.

Both players are good and have an ability to play as per situation,like some aggression and stickiness.but i will say pujara could be a better choice in playing 11, he is called a "Run-Machine".i think he should be the part of team for a long time..

The records might say raina is better..but in the current form he is as bad as any tailende..What happened to him only god knows it..I fully agree with you pujara must get the chance to show his skills..HE was the part of kolkata knight riders but there in T-20 you can't show that must skills..Test is the best way of judging any player so this chance must be given to him and lets see how he performs now..

cheteshwar pujara has displayed his good technique and ability to play big innings in the longer form of the game.so i feel pujara can be picked up ahead of the raina as u need to have better technique to handle to swing bowling as raina has been caught by many teams dude to his vulnerability against short pitch and swinging bowls.so i agree to you that cheteshwara pujara should be given a chance.

Hi Rajesh, It is too early to compare Raina with Pujara.Raina's poor performance is due to his continuous stress.He got a break but it was a short one.So he should be given a long break.In his place India should try Pujara.Raina has much experiences than Pujara.Pujara is a domestic player who has done well in the match he played against Australia. He should be given a chance but there is another man waiting for a chance.It is Murali Vijay.He has also played well so far in his test cricket career.I will be tough for Dhoni to choose the right player.
