The essence of Christmas

Our family just celebrated Christmas. As a Christian, I know that we celebrate Christmas, because this is the day God was born. I love this day a lot. The essence Christmas for me is the ability of a person to love without condition, to forgive and forget and of course to serve with all their heart. I wonder, what is the essence of Christmas to you guys, how do you feel during Christmas?
