Honestly, I never stole anything from anyone and I would never because I feel that if I was in the position and someone stole something of mine then I wouldn't like it so I don't but there are people out there who do. What do you think? Especially now a days the economy isn't great, some steal because they don't have enough money to buy gifts for their kids, some steal because they need to make money and others steal just because they don't have a heart... what's your view? Any experiences?

I once found the watch of my classmate in my schoolbag. I didn't know what to do - it was clear that someone had put in there, and i had suspicion of who, and if i said that i found it - she was going to tell everyone i stole it, that was very nasty person who said horrible thing after others and make people believe her. (it was to the point that two of the girls from our class changed it to other, she really said some very horrible things about them and they couldn't take it anymore).
The girl who lost that watch was searching for it, and i was just afraid to offer it to her, i was afraid even leave it somewhere so that she can find it, i could see that that person who put it in my bag was watching me and waiting.
In the end i just tossed it in the recycle bin and tried to forget about it. My conscious nagged me, but i am really afraid of gossip, and that girl was truly horrible with making them.
What would you have done?
Give it to her knowing that everyone soon will call you a thief?
Or think of something else?

I am sorry that you were in that position. I would have probably not given it to her because she'd call me a thief but I would probably put it in the lost and found section at school. Did you have a lost and found box at school??

To be honest, I've once stolen bubble gum from the store. I was there with my mother. She used to buy me bubble gum every time we went to this shop. As usual, she paid for a one pack of bubble gum and told me to go and take myself one from the shelves. One day, something evil sparked inside my head and I decided to take one more pack of bubble gum. Later at home, mother discovered that there is a bubble gum in my pocket. I got scolded by my mother for stealing the bubble gum and she forced me to go back to the shop, confess my bad deed and pay for the stolen bubble gum.
I was a little kid back then and since that day I haven't stolen anything from anyone, it's against my principles.

That's pretty cute if you were a kid back then and decided to be evil but yes at any age it is wrong to steal, glad you learned your lesson when you were young so then when you're older you know it's wrong to steal :)

To be honest I have never stolen anything in my life. Thank god i have never been so poor that i had to steal. I think that anything you have in life is diminished if you have to steal to get it. I would rather go on public assistance than have to steal.

Stealing is definitely bad & it becomes a habit once they steal and continue to steal until they're caught.
