Early in the morning

It's 2:30 on Christmas morning and very dark in the country, but if I look hard I can see the faint lights of the neighbor's barn. What a comfort it is to know that friends are close. But this leads me to thoughts of others in our world who feel only fear at the sign of other humanbeings. It makes me weep for us all. So I sent this wish to all that the New Year will bring more love and less fear through out our world. Each of us can help simply by being aware of the fear we spread each time we allow ourselves to hate, be angry, or look at one another with anything but love. A very happy Holiday to each of you which ever Holiday you celebrate. Blessings.

You are absolutely right that the simple light from a neighbor should always be a comfort to us. I've never been afraid of other people, but I also know that I've never been in a situation where being around other people could be a danger to me. I would like to think that there will be a time where there is no fear in this world and all people, regardless of race, nationality or religion will be able to live in harmony. I don't know that I will ever get to see that day.

Yes Pat it is sad I remember when I was a Girl, the Neighbours all used stick together and help Christmas Day they would all get together for a bit and enjoy the Company, no matter what had happened during the Year they stuck together Now..........well People do not know who they can trust any more, or they are scared of their Neighbours , fell out with the People around them, it is so sad and I wish the same as you do

Wouldn't the world be beautiful if people had more love for each other and not be showing fear towards others. If each one of us showed more love towards our neighbors and communities then little by little we will change the world. May you and your family have a blessed Christmas and a Happy Healthy New Year.

Amen! very good post, yes light no matter how faint should be a sign of comfort, to know their are other friendly human beings around especially on a dark Christmas morn. You are right not the case if we allow ourselves to hate, especially if you are in some kind of war zone, where a flicker of light can mean danger, or turning on lights would cause you to be shot or bombed. Happy Holiday
