Hi friend. Merry Christmas! Try not to put your post as a poll. It will be deleted. I try to get the cheapest airline when I travel, depending on my destination. I am bought a ticket from Avianca (Colombian airlines)to go to Aruba in March. If I had bought the sme flight from America Airlines, I would have to fly for a longer time, stay a night at my expense in a Hotle in Miami and then fly to Aruba. So it is relative. Avianca is not a budget airline but it is a good airline cheaper than other some some destinations.

Yeah. I know Avianca airlines. I have used them so many times with some of my clients. Besides their service, their timings to Colombia are perfect with other airlines. Also, I find their prices much lower than the other Latin American Airlines.

Yes. Our chilean airline, LAN, is owned by thieves. It´s a lot more expensive than the rest. Copa is another cheap company to fly within South America. It´s from Panama.I have not used them elsewhere. But many of these companies have these arrangements with other airlines and you can get cheaper fares.

Oh right. Copa air is cheap also... Direct flight from Los Angeles or New York to Panama is cool. I will definitely use them if I opt to go to Panama...

I am from India, and I have travelled a lot of times in budget airlines. Of course you might not know the names of the airlines if I mention it there. The biggest problem in the budget airlines are they even charge you for a glass of water and nothing is free. I think one of these days, they might even charge you for going and using their toilets..And the day is not far, when they might even have passengers standing in the aisle, just like we do in the crowded buses.

I might know that... I have plenty of contacts in India... :D Ei, don't think like that. If they can charge us with the minimal cost today with all the amenities like the seat and rest rooms, there is no reason for them to change it to a much less convenient state for their customers... :D

I live in Europe and my home country has a couple of budget airlines. I have been on both of these: Easy Jet and Ryan Air. The seats are close together, have little legroom and are uncomfortable. Though it doesn't matter because these airlines only operate short haul flights. Food and drink are not free on board like an ordinary expensive scheduled airline. The air fares are meant to be very cheap but extras can add up like baggage in the haul for example. If I went to Florida I would like to try Spirit Air. They fly from Fort Launderdale to Central America and South America.

Yes, I tried several budget airlines who operated in Australian and Asia such as Tiger Airways, Air Asia, and Jetstar. I think it's all basically the same like a regular flight such as Singapore Airlines but with less food and beverages. Since it is called budget airline, instead of serving food the steward/ess offering peanuts and mineral water or even nothing. I'm okay with it, as long as it short haul, but usually we can also buy the food cheaply in the plane, so until now I'm satisfied with the budget airlines I ride

Does Southwest count? I've used them, they're ok, but most airlines I've tried are pretty bad these days. Oh well, there's not much we can do, flying is the only fast way to travel. Good luck traveling!
