This sounds a lot like sleep paralysis. A lot of people experience it at least once in their lifetime. The way it was explained to me is when you are asleep, your body kind of shuts itself down in an effort to stop sleep walking and things like that. Unfortunately, sometimes your mind starts waking up, but your body hasn't caught up yet so you can't move or scream. Sleep paralysis is usually accompanied by hallucinations and the sensation someone is choking you or there is a huge amount of weight on your chest. Sorry, I'm not really good at explaining it.
It's still terrifying though. It has happened to me a few times. I hate feeling like I can't breath. Luckily, I haven't had any visual hallucinations, but I have heard some creepy things. The most memorable was a growling noise and I heard what sounded like my room being torn apart. Everything was fine when my body snapped out of it though.

Oh whoops. I posted before I read your answer. Don't be terrified by this experience. I don't know if you believe this sort of thing or not, but some say that while in this state many people have what is called an IBE, or in body experience (as opposed to OBE or out of body experience) IBE states are being in the body, but with astral awareness. This is especially common for those already having a mediumistic disposition. I used to be afraid like you, but now I welcome the experience.

I was not hug by a ghost but I actually saw one late one night when I was matching TV. IT keep on staring at me to make me scarred. It only disappeared when I asked it of the right lotto results. It has not bothered me ever since.

Hi. pujileksana. I have never been hugged by any ghosts. I don't think that I would want to either. It sounds like the hag is on you, don't you think? If you can't move, speak or breathe. It sounds like a hag has gotten a hold of you. I don't think that is hugging. If it is a hug, you should be able to breathe, speak or move.

Actually what you are describing is called sleep paralysis. The body releases a hormone that paralyzes your body when you sleep, so that you don't act out your dreams, ie sleep walk.
Here, I found a link to information on it:
http://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/guide/sleep-paralysis
Do not worry. This happens to me sometimes. It isn't anything bad. All it means is that you woke up suddenly, before your body had a chance to flush the hormone out. You say that it makes you "want to yell to the other person beside you". There is no reason to yell. This is the only problem with this disorder. People tend to not understand what is happening to them and they panic. If this happens to you again, just remain calm and wait it out. It can never last that long. You could even just go back to sleep if you want. :)

I have nightmares where I wake up or dream that I wake up, but then enter into the nightmare right away after a while. Apparently I screamed in my sleep last night because I was having another nightmare where something was growing out of stomach and I could feel it and was punching it to no avail. I tried screaming before but my sister never said that I actually screamed. I guess I was more awake then I thought I was.

i think you watch too much of horror movies. first you should know that there is no such things as ghost if you want to argue on this pls give any scientific proof of it.
next the symptoms you experienced is not due to ghost its occurred due to some kind of depression you have undergone it might be because of some night mare.. etc
