As human being, we have the right to do anything we want as long as we do not impose harm to our fellow human beings. But, what about a father who smoke actively and make children inside his home affected by the danger of the smoke. Why don’t they care about their children’s health when it’s been in worldwide campaign of health sector that being passive smoker or second hand smoke is more dangerous?

Hi again mayrah! Yes it's true, second hand smoke is more dangerous. I usually get mad at my brother-in-law who always smoke even when his kids are around. Most of the time I would tell him to just smoke outside or everywhere else where kids could not inhale the smoke, good thing he obeys me,well,he knows it's for the good of his children. I suggest smokers should smoke in an appropriate place where no one could be affected, like for say,a place of smokers, lol! I know we can't stop them from smoking but they should also be responsible enough onto where and when they should smoke. Happy mylotting!

Sometimes we have to firm with a relative that just visits every once in a while. We had to tell a sister-in-law not to smoke in the house.

Yes, I also wonder about that sometimes- I see some fathers smoking in front of their children in our neighborhood..that's why some of them think that it is a good thing to do- and they follow it.

A good father will acknowledge the problem with second hand smoke. He can act appropriately. He can take his smokes outside and not smoke with other family members are in the car. I know fathers who do this, so it can be done. Years ago no one would have expected the father to do this, but times have changed.

I think we should continue to discourage smoking and educate people in the harmful effects. There is nothing positive about smoking. It hurts the smoker, anyone else that has to breathe the smoke and all of us as we have to pay for the illnesses that the smoker increases for himself and others.

hi, i think the father should also know the harmful he bring on his family when he smoke. it depends upon the discipline of the father if he still smoke even he knew that is danger, maybe the father should smoke outside of their house.

There may be different reasons Maybe they are not educated about how dangerous smoking and secondhand smoking are. They may know it, but don't care about their children's health. They may care for their children's health, but care more for their pleasure. They may not care more for their pleasure, but is already addicted to nicotine. The number one solution for this is love for their children. Love will be the root of other traits needed.

It is anyone's right to samoke. Smokers just have to think of the the rights of the people they affect with their smoking. If someone's health is at risk ith smoking, it might be wise to reconsider your choices.
