Merry Christmas everyone! Did you have a very merry Chrismas? Mine was not that bad at all...despite my husband being away, I had my son with me, so we just spent Christmas eve just the two of us and his daddy over the phone...it was kinda lonely, but still happy because I have my two boys even if the big boy was away for work...:( :)

A Merry Christmas to you too! My Christmas wasn't bad although I will say that it was a quiet one! This time of year tends to be very quiet for me as I don't spend Christmas with any family but I tend to enjoy it as much as I can in my own little way! My family passed away many years back and so I guess there's a lot of tv time at this time of year!
The weather has been very cold and I've been content being locked up in my living room with the heater on! I have been doing a lot of reading as well and I'm also recovering from a cycling accident which I had on the 10th November this year, not the best time to have an accident but all the same! I'm on the pain killers and they tend to be taking the pain away at night when I need to sleep.
It sounds as though you also enjoyed Christmas in your own way and that is good. I'm sure that there are lots of people that sadly spend Christmas alone. For some people this will be by choice as they don't like all the fuss and bother of preparing for Christmas whilst others love getting together with family members that they have not seen over the year.
Anyway, I'm just anxiously waiting for the snow to disappear, we've had enough snow to last a life time I think! Andrew

Yes... it was good, although the turkey wasn't as delicious as I expected.
My family got together to spend Christmas eve, and we really enjoyed that night. My uncle and cousins came from other city to spend Christmas with us.
We also made a video-conference with my aunt, uncle and other cousins that live in Peru, but couldn't came to Ecuador because of my cousin's disease: chickenpox, which is very contagious.

We opened our gifts first before midnight of Dec 24 and then we ate noche buena after. I used to be excited to open my gifts from Santa. Now I find joy in watching my young nephew open up his gifts. Christmas day was spent on a beach at Subic. I used to work before even during Christmas day but now I have the luxury of spending the holidays with my family. It's nice to have some quite bonding time with my loved ones.

Christmas was very busy for me, as i have six children, what with all the build up to christmas it was rather hectic. We got up watched the children open their gifts, then we went to my mums for dinner, like we do every year, then we had evening meal at hers as well. The children were happy with playing with all the things that they got and we watched some tv together that was great.
