Do you come to My Lot to cheer yourself up?

I do. Sometimes, when I'm down, I'll come to My Lot and post a response to a discussion; and it'll help to cheer me up, because I've done something creative. What I like about My Lot is that once you've created a discussion or response, it's permanent: there's a sense of achievement in writing something for My Lot; it's cathartic; as I believe all creativity is. I firmly believe that activity, creativity, work are some of the best antidotes to the blues around. They get your mind off them; and give you the sense that you are amounting to something. So recovery is possible.

Yes, I do. There were times in the past that I felt to sad and depressed. I come to mylot to seek comfort and peace. Here, I find the enjoyment and happiness I ca never find in my real life. (long story). I enjoy being here. And for a couple of years now, Mylot has become a home, a school and a sanctuary for me.:)

I'm sorry to hear you were so sad and depressed; and that you can't find happiness in your life; that is very sad. But it's good to hear you find comfort and peace here at My Lot. I hope you continue to do so.

Hi, Carl.
Don't feel sorry for me now. I am doing well in coping up with my situation. GOd is still sooo good to me.
Mylot is a place where I found true and sincere friendship even if I haven't met anyone here yet in person.

You are already something. You are a writer! I'm glad you come here and you cheer up! Me? I come here to connect or in your case reconnect with friends. Or to vent. Or to ask questions.I agree. Once it is written here , it is forever. And after I vent , I do feel so much better.

I should imagine that I log into My Lot for a number of different reasons! This is definitely the place to be if you want to learn new things and I have certainly learnt a lot from others since first joining, I think we each have something to share with others when we are here.
There's no doubt that My Lot can cheer you up as well and it certainly has cheered me up and I feel good and I generally love to write and My Lot helps me with this. I must admit that I have been finding it difficult to create new discussions, I struggle to come up with a new topic that has not already been taken! Yes, thee's definitely the sense of feeling creative and I think that the more that you write the better and more creative your writing becomes!
I guess you can discuss and debate about anything these days and I should remember this when I try and create my next discussion! Anyway, it's been quiet this Christmas and I have been stuck in front of my television, so many repeats! I guess I will make more effort here come the new year. Andrew

I just joined My Lot a week ago and I always visit this site and hang around since them. I felt I found a community being here, expressing thoughts and feelings without being judged. It's another way to express yourself and a form of mental activity as well. Our brain is like our body, it needs to be working to function well. I feel some kind of satisfaction after contributing to the topics initiated by members. I am also learning from reading other posts and getting vital information. Why I have not found this site before? Nobody introduced me, but still thankful that I found this kind of website.
I have sent invitations to all my friends and nobody accepted to join me. All of them prefers the blah blah blah in facebook. They just don't know what they are missing.
Logging in to My Lot is more than just to cheer myself. We also give happiness and satisfaction to other members by participating in the discussion, contributing our opinions and giving helpful tips.
Cheers to My Lot and all My Lotters!

When I first started on MyLot I was in kind of a down mood. I found that being here really did help my perspective. I did not ask for help with things, but I was able to give people help and it made me feel really good. I love the interactions here. Yes, I do come to Mylot to cheer up.
