Since I became a member of mylot I saw lots of discussions is about Islam and Muslims. I want to know why that is so! Muslims didn't come from outer space nor are they violating other religions or believers. Then what is the problem here? People should respect our feelings and our religion. We Muslims do not talk bad about other religions and the believers of other religions should do the same. Please people we all are human being here. This is the first thing count then the religion. Because of religion so many people are dieing in Iraq, Afghanistan and in Israel. Please we do not want to feel offended by any of members. We are free to believe what we want to believe and no one should talk about it.

It's human nature to hate something one doesn't understand when it involves killings, wars, etc. Unfortunately I find that many people in this world have nothing firm to base their hatred on. They believe everything they hear without trying to focus on reasoning. I think the Islamic faith is a peace-loving religions and if all Mulsims followed their religion as written in the Koran no one could hate the Muslims. However, as someone else said there's always seems to be one rotten apple in the barrel to spoil everything. I don't understand the Jihad (Holy War). The only conclusion that I can reach that makes any sense is that it's payback time for the slaughter during the Crusades. Can you, as a mulsim, give me a better reason for a Jihad?

Thanks for your reply.
Jihad, sometimes spelled Jahad, Jehad, Jihaad, Djehad, Jawwad, or Cihad, (Arabic: ????? gihad) is an Islamic term, from the Arabic root ghd ("to exert utmost effort, to strive, struggle"), which although to some connotes an inward 'spiritual' struggle refers to the struggle to mobilize the energies and capabilities of Islamic individuals and groups in the greater service of the ummah, or nation of Islam, in military terms through fatah or conquest.he term "Jihad" is often used to describe purely physical and military "religious war". A majority of Muslims hold that this understanding only makes up part of the broader meaning of the concept of jihad. The denotation is of a struggle, challenge, difficulty or (frequently) opposed effort, made either in accomplishment or as resistance. A person who engages in any form of jihad can be called a mujahid (in plural: mujahidin) (Arabic: striver, struggler). Jihad has gained notoriety in much of the West because of its usage by various violent fundamentalist groups. Jihad must be understood in the context of the history of Islam, and not only linguistically.
had is not so simple.
If you have any more question about it you can ask freely.

I dont know what post your reading but I have yet to seen one attacking muslims and Islam. What it is is people trying to push their religion and teachings on us who dont want to learn them. Just stop the whining and posting of why people hate muslims. Muslims are'nt the only race with problems. Keep your teachings and religions to yourself unless someone posts a question about it and if there's post on here you dont like try this and ignore them instead of boo hooing to everyone. I got bigger problems then people hating muslims on my plate and I dont come on here to be forced to learn about Islam and muslims. GET OVER IT ALREADY

Thank you for your reply. But I have to say one thing that I'm not asking you to convert to Islam. I'm just asking these nuisances which some people are creating over Islam.

Hey stop discussing this sort of sensitive topic in here. You may develop many enemies. I agree with you. But every year 1000s of people of my country (India) is killed by jihadis(I dont know what it is). So its natural if I have a unknow muslim friend I may look at him suspiciously sometimes.

Thank you for your reply. But I'm not trying to develop enemies. I'm just asking to stop it. Don't take it personally.
