Of course we have so much advance technologies nowadays that can be really useful in our daily lives. Aside from that there are things that we don’t need to work hard that will consume time because the technologies can really help us. However I believe not all of them have an advantage wherein the traditional medium is still better compare to the technologies. Just for example the church bells there was a church that we were able to attend the mass but then when we heard the church bells it was only recorded instead of using the old fashioned bells. As for me that is better.

i agree that there is definately some disadvantages in always using technology. like you stated, sometimes the digital copies or recreations of the originals just don't cut it. the originals always look, sound, feel, etc, better than the remade stuff. you can even relate that to remakes of movies, for example alice in wonderland. the original is just fine the way it is, but the remake with all the special effects just looks as if they are trying to hard and taking away from the quality. i honestly don't even want to hear about anymore advances in technology because they just seem to become more and more unnecessary...i am starting to actually go back to using older things, like a super nintendo instead of an xbox, etc

In new technologies I really like the xbox and Wii however it is still better if the sports is in outdoor. But then at times we have to be practical at times because not all people can have an access to outdoor sports.

Well it depends on how it serve its purpose. Sometimes I found some technology useful but I also found some technology that makes people getting lazier, just for the sake of making everything easier, more comfortable and makes people work less. These are the type technologies that I really hate. In my definition, technology is to assist people so they can work more efficiently and faster and more accurate. In today's world I saw technologies being abused.

Hello my friend sorry I'm not convince to your response that depends on how it serve the purpose. Let say mobile it is very useful to people it is serve the purpose and use properly but still there is dis-advantages like radiation, affect to the budget, sometimes using is criminal action... and many more... see you around

my personal opinion is that new technologies means less hard work, people becoming more lazy , less capable and that is just wrong
i would realy like to make a test shut everything electric down all over the world and probably 3/4 of people wouldnt survive

I don't think all technologies really have an advantage. Like what if in a hundred years, every company will be run mostly by machines and robots doing all the work (for instance a car company). I think it'll take away a lot of jobs that were done by humans before. Also I think the human eye and brain can function way better than a machine (right now), so a human will always think clearer and see solutions or problems that a computer/robot wouldn't ever see. So I don't think there's only advantages in technology.

If put to good use technology would definitely go a long way. The problem with us is that we do not know how to keep technology away from harming nature and the earth. The only way for technology to be an advantage is when it has been designed well with no destructive impact to the environment, e.g. biodegradables, electric cars, wind and solar energy harvesting structures, etc.

There's also a disadvantage of having a so advance technology. Just take the case of different games for the kids. They're not interacting with each other anymore, instead, they just sit down and play game with their portable PSP or any other sort of electronic items for play. Before, when im still young, we do have a special relationship as friends together with my playmates. Our play area was so vast like farm. The cammaraderie was alive and we had so much physical activities which make our bodies strong. Our friendship deepens and its still alive up to now.
Nowadays, kids spend much of their time with computers rather than studying their lessons or building friendship with each other. Even adults spends less physical efforts because of high tech gadgets that's why diseases and obesity was a wide spread thing.
Technology was good but we must always put into our minds that we still needs to exercise and not to depend our lives with all the instant things that this technology offered or else, our life span might be instant as well...
Have a nice day!

Hi Metatronik,
As the technology advances things keep changing. Without change in life or in technology there will be no progress, when there is no progress in life there is no meaning to life. As how these inventions came just because of necessity and necessity is the mother of invention. I do agree with you in certain aspects we still find the old ones good and habituated. However we need to accept the change.
Even nature keeps changing, Just as a flowing river bring new fresh water human intellectuals try to bring something new always and change is inevitable.
Change is the never changing word in the ever changing world. It keeps changing with the advancement of technology and we should accept it.
Happy Living

Hi! Technology indeed helps us a lot. It just depends on the users. Users may use it to make their works easier and faster, but allows themselves to be carried away with this. In effect, it makes them lazy.
For me, it is cool to use the ones without technology because it makes the spirit of the past alive.
