Do gunophobes annoy you?

I keep seeing more & more discussions on this & other sites created by people who I can only clasify as gunophobes. Their irational fear blinds them to simple logic. They think guns should be banned & that would solve the problem of gun violence. I hate to tell them but drugs are illegal...Are they gone? NO. If you ban guns all you'll do is take them away from good honest people wanting to either hunt or protect themselves. You also can't use the argument "Well the police will protect us!". Seriously, how often have you heard about the police showing up & stoping a home invasion BEFORE someone gets hurt. More far more often they get called AFTER someone has heard gunshots & the victim is already dead. If you were the victim how have the police actually helped you? Had you been equally armed perhaps the gunmen would have thought twice before attacking you or you could have held them off UNTIL the police arrived. I've worked at jobs that were often none to safe before & have suffered 3 different robbery attempts. In each case when the crook found out I was at least as if not better armed then they were they took off running or ended stuffed in my trunk & being hauled off to jail. Had I been unarmed I'd have been robbed at the very least if not killed. It just seems to me that there are more & more of these people who think someone else is going to save them even if you take away our tools to do so. What are your thoughts?
